  1. I was lucky, I grew up skiing with Warren Miller and his family for years.  Warren was my grandfather's best friend.  Warren would come over to his house every Christmas and show movies to us in the living room.  My grandparents lived in Sun Valley and Warren would always be in town showing his movie in Sun Valley at the Opera house.  We would also see the movies in Santa Monica every year.  I was a kid, but the memories were awesome.  One time, I was probably 10 years old, we went to Mammoth and skied and hung out with Warren and Dave McCoy for the weekend, pretty epic.

Skiing was our family activity; my grandfather was part owner in My Baldy in the late 1960's, he also provided Dave McCoy with his first engines for his first rope tows in Mammoth (my grandfather owned Cummins Diesel locations in SD, LA and SF in the 1950 and 60's).

Next Monday, I will be in Sun Valley burying my grandmother (98 yrs old) next to my grandfather as well as spreading my Dad's and Uncles ashes there.  An end of an era for our family for sure.

Most don't know, I have worked in the Ski Industry (or closely related) virtually my whole life.  In College, I ran one of the ski shops for Sport Chalet, when I graduated from college my first job was working for Head Skis, San Marco Boots (now Head Boots) as a sales rep.

Now fast forward 30 years, I have been fortunate to ski and hang out with some amazing athletes.  Skiing with Scott Smidt and Glen Plake certainly are highlights.  But Blizard of Oz is one of the best movies ever!!

disdain is a little much for me, but its still probably why I didn't watch it in the first place.  And based on his previous movies its hard to imagine him in anything worth watching....

Always remember it is a Quentin Taratino movie, then you can put the right frame of reference on it all..........it isn't a short movie for sure

  3. , it would prohibit people under 12 years old to ride e-bikes, it would require an online written test and a state-issued identification for riders who do not have a driver’s license.

I do know it is hard to write tickets to kids, but I am sure there would be a way.  Calling the parents to come pick up the child would probably be better.  The parents nowadays just pay the ticket and move on.

  4. We have been renting this house in a gated community in Mexico for 5 years now, the drive from our house is roughly 3 hours.  We love it and have never felt unsafe.  A couple things we do not do, we don't go out at night and we don't act like stupid Americans.  The one pic is my kids sitting on the beach from our Living Room.  We bring the Dog as well, he gets to play in the surf the entire time.

  5. Most rules are in place, but there is a huge surge of 8-14 years olds cruising at 25mph and don't know the rules, it is truly the Parents that suck for not teaching their kids.  I am glad my kids are older and I didn't have to deal with this.  Beach communities have their work cut out for them.

In my community Super 73's are the bike of choice, we see 10yr's cruising the streets at over 20mph not wearing helmets and don't know the rules of the road.  It will be sad when a real accident does happen.

Anybody remember in the 70s and early 80s when mopeds were the thing and laws were written just for them also.

I had a PUCH with home made porting, mill cylinder and noisy ass pipe.

In my mind they are exactly the same thing, why do electric motors get an unfair advantage to a gas motor?  They are both pedal assist,  Discrimination....................

Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) same as Driving Under the Influence (DUI)   basically, asking if people can use them for transportation after losing their driver's license.  People in this situation have been adding small gas motors to bicycles.

Same as a regular bike, DUI laws are still valid, always has been.

But to use them after losing your license, you would be able to use for transportation due to the fact you don't need to be licensed to operate a Ebike.

  8. This is just a public announcement, but cities and states are creating new laws for Ebikes as we speak.  In my community, all the kids are riding Super 73's, which might get outlawed soon.

Ebikes are classified into 3 categories, Super 73's fall into Class 2 or 3.  Class 3's are considered a Motorcycle in almost every state.

Here is what I think the new laws will be:

    • No riding double, unless child bike seat.
    • Must have lights for night riding
    • Must be 16 years or older
    • Mandatory safety class (not sure for all or kids)
    • Helmets for all

Police departments have been ignoring this, but they are going to start getting grants from the State to enforce all the rules of the roads for Ebikes.  Just be prepared is my point.

I’ve had a bad engine coolant temp sensor give me hell in my buggy. Made it hard to start  once started it was very rich  I tested it it appears to be on the cold side and stuck there so was telling the ecu to add more fuel

in your case a bad cat or o2 sensor should not make the car barely run.

I believe, most cars have two 02 sensors on the exhaust, one before the cat and the other after the cat, all they are measuring is the difference between the two.  If they are the same, it tells you to replace the cat.

  10. Most kids are on tictok or snapchat, not facebook.  And I watch my kids and they are barely on any platforms anymore.  I am still on Facebook and Insta, pretty bored with both.  Facebook is full of complainers now, people that like to sit on the sidelines and spew their opinions.  Insta is filled with people trying to be the next social media star.  My new plan, anyone that I follow that posts 3-4 times a day are now getting deleted.  Attention brats.  Facebook is the biggest reason this country is so f..cked up IMHO

I was 7, we were in shethole apartments.   We had MTV.  It ruled my world.  It was the first punishment I recall.  "No MTV!"

Freaking Romatics "talking in your sleep" seemed to be on every 10 minutes.

I didn't get MTV until I moved out and lived in a Shethole apartment as well, 1987.  I missed a lot of good videos by then.

My college roommate used his student loan to get his Pilot's license.  Of course, this was back in 1988.
