The DCT is a huge improvement. I think the Can Am set up is better than what Honda did with the DCT for the Talon.
Can Am has certainly raised the bar in the sport UTV segment.
If the DCT holds up - true game changer at that power level - others will have to follow including Speed.

Everybody pick on the Canned ham Ugly suspension but says nothing about how the Speed looks like they bumped into the wall and smashed the front of the mold plug in and said "screw it and made the body mold anyway ... Speed car is nice - front looks like a Pug . The Canned Ham looks like it has Pterodactyl hands though

Yep, which means an even bigger yard sale when someone runs out of talent. Should be an interesting dune season
Yup ...enabling the "no money down" crowd to go fast enough to hurt themselves and others...easier

Ball joints would’ve been flying, trailing arm mounts popping, or radius rods tacoing on everything else with that sideways landing.
that was very impressive....very surprised it recovered so well too. I would expected it float more rather than settle right back down - suspension seems sorted pretty well for stock

The geometry isn’t unconventional in regular automotive. This is obviously beefed waaay up (despite lower curb weights and spring rates), but it’s been around for a bit now. You just don’t see it since there are fenders covering everything.
Tacoma, but with less over the tire since the front wheels are rarely driven with traction:
Nissan GTR, which has its upper steering axis farther over the tire because the fronts are driven nearly full time:
Audi AWD S products:
You can see Audi spent profit on multiple upper ball joints to move the virtual point even farther over the tire. OEs don’t spent $$$ for nothing.
Yes, these are road going parts. You’d be a complete dumbass to bolt them to an offroad vehicle, but Can Am took the principles and beefed the fawk out of them for offroad use. Since Can Am is less worried about plastic fenders covering things, they went buck wild with it, packaging be damned.
I’m sure John Q will find spots that need improving for their specific use and the aftermarket will fill those gaps, but the overall geometry and design principle is well established and probably won’t need to be remedied. We just don’t see it with (relatively) small offroad teams and build to order manufacturers. Maybe they will adopt it. Maybe they won’t. Either way, teams of dynamics engineers with dataloggers and specially calibrated butts tested it for probably a year before we got to see it, it’s been vetted.
Common Mercedes/Daimler design as well

I am impressed at first blush - I think its gonna work really well , but not being 2000 cc+ was a disappointment
Admittedly anyone getting the "full boogie" version with some added accessories will be in 70K+ OTD
First timers need a trailer and other accessories like tie downs etc. so add $5K at least
Not going to be the $350 a month no money down crowd ... of 2017-2018...
But buddies disagree- they think that $1250 a month payment will not deter, they say SxS's are still selling very well
I am still not sure how insurance companies cover these high end SxS's so cheap - Of the last two Pro-R's in My crew, the newest one Lawn darted and ripped the tabs off - totalled and insurance paid out in full $59k and he made only one $61 payment (totaled in under 30 days)
My 60K truck costs me $2400 in insurance a year - weird

For Me it was Bikes, bikes, Bikes, then broke my back on a Jet Ski , well Stand ups were bikes on the water ...
First car was a VW so bad I can't even find a pic
Second car was a "well used "($50) Dico chassis circa 1985 built a Turbo VW for it (its the blue car) did that one in '92 then the first Long Travel a Ron Lummis Car 500HP Outfront Subi that was 99
Wife wanted it purple ...
Move to LS cars - Liked the .net cars Bought a couple - Built and sold the first bone - thought I could do better - Not sure why I changed cars - I basically built the same car over ...
they were Blown of course first was 2004 last 4 seater was an 06
I decided to go Big but 2 seat
So I built the wife a lil Busa powered rail for her ... (Of course I drove it more - it was a blast)
And of course I had to build a Rhino - it was the thing to have for som e reason... and everyone in Havasu had one in my neighborhood
Next up - 2012 Mosebilt 2 seater Supercharged 396 LS and 26" travel
at 102" wide - swapping tires for the trailer - got old ...
2014 Back to a .net car - this time 2 seater superchargeed 396 again (great combo)
Mosebilt rolled the roof for me - tipped the scales at 2000Lbs and had 676HP RWHP
Bought Wife a Rzr to match the car
that lasted 2 trips - picked up a VW Tatum from matt86m and swapped it over to Ecotec for the wife - much happier ...
Happy wife, happy life and all that ....
New Engine - New SC , New Sequential, new Body work on the SC.net
and after one trip back on the dyno after new heads, new cam, bigger SC Had to see 840 RWHP ...
2018 1500RWHP in the garage was nice ...
Business down turn moved me to this clean lil Buggy works car ...
Pandemic came along ... Car went under the knife ....
2022 - now
We left the front suspension and lower cage ... New everything else - Built a nice 427 supercharged of course , New S4, etc
Scaled out at 1985 Lbs "Lite is Mite"
Going e85 and repainting white for this season - chasing 1100 RWHP
Probably the last car for me ...

Tipping is out of control. Covid gave a huge boost to tipping in so many areas that never received tips anymore. Half of my Uber drivers (Not Uber eats) mention tips. The ferry out and back from the channel islands last week had a tip jar up. My pizza order picked up in store gave me the option of tipping twice and the boy who brought my pizza out blatantly asked if I would like to tip him. I often tip for unexpected or above average service but almost never for standard service and I have stopped using several businesses simply because of getting hassled for tips. The value isn't there and if the workers can't survive on their base pay, they need to hustle up a better job like I did.
it is so out of control... LA county is taking the lead on this for sure
And the (mostly) younger workers expect it is part of their "compensation" they say we are underpaid and YOU need to make up the difference - as soon as they tell me that I just don't tip.
I cannot believe self-service kiosks add a 20% tip unless you remove it in many places. And we do use Instacart or did quite a bit during Covid, and its already as mentioned fee laden, we just do 20% across the board but our orders are rarely over $200.
Tipping everywhere has become a "tax" just think about it - I would say 80% of my daily purchases are asking for minimum 20% tip - that's basically a 20% tax on everything I buy - Basically a 20% pay cut ....
We are already at 10.25% state tax in my town and we are slated for 10.75% in 2024 ... will the minimum "tip tax" be 30% by then too?

They have a section just for the raptor bronco
Ordered ours through El Cajon Ford, non-raptor though, sticker price (no ADM on ordering) 3 months to build. The dealer was good through the whole process
Will check it out = thanks

@Fullthrottleguymy client, maybe a board member here and multiple Funco owner, is a fleet sales manager and I can put you in contact with him. He's helped several friends get Bronco's.
Thanks Jeff - let me know, my buddy is ready to go

A buddy has been looking and basically finding crazy prices - anyone k now of dealer that is being reasonable or are these just impossible to get and priced like gold?

So nice to see the peasants complying with the rules the idiotic ruling class has put in place.

C'mon man.
If someone is going to steal my Jeep they will try to get it started as fast as possible and be out of my driveway. If they have another "finder" app do they decide not to take the Jeep if it tells them one is near? If they have an iphone it will probably tell them they are being tracked once it moves, but do they stop and look for it? Even the apple app doesn't tell you EXACTLY where it is relative to your phone. No.."it's 6 inches to your left." Ditch the Jeep? What if you have it in your trailer. THOUSANDS of places to hide a 50 cent piece sized unit.
Mine aren't just sitting in the cupholder....and if someone is thinking about stealing one of my rides, their fancy app will tell them there are no less than half a dozen "near" them if standing in front of my house. I've honestly forgot where I hid the one in my TJ. LOL
Yeah thats the rub - they still steal the car or whatever its not like they are waiting around to look for the tracker but if its tagged they will try to find it, and in theYT demo's they found them pretty quick and then if they don't they either use the app to disable them, or just trash and dump the vehicle. The stats on catching car thieves in CA and AZ are pretty bad although like 88% are actually recovered tracked or not and over 60% are mostly intact - thieves just suck overall

For our equipment at work we use Geotab and Phillips connect, but there is a data fee monthly.
Free? Airtags in all my cars. It's not real time, but fast enough to find my chit if it gets stolen.
I would do some You tubing - I am hearing that first thing smart thieves (Oxymoron) do is use an app ( the best one is an android app as crazy as that is) that detects "close" air tags and they find them and throw them out out the window or into the bed of a pick up truck or trash bin / truck. It seems the inexpensive (no monthly fee) air tag tracking method is pretty much over if you in a metro area with thieves that target high end cars, and our type of toys

For the life of me I can't recall the name. But when my wife's dad died we had a pretty hardcore drag Nova to sell. We posted to a national site and had several legit buyers hit us up. Eventually sold to a guy from up LA area.
For serious gear you gotta get off public yardsale sites like Facebook and Craigslist.
I have bought and sold race cars on "racingjunk" hard core no title cars sell there all the time

Sad day - important to remember and never let happen again
RIP to all that lost their lives ... I have to say the NY spirit that carried the First responders through that journey was amazing
Not sure in 2023 how that all would play out sadly ...
