  1. Video is at 10 pounds of boost. I have left it there all year cuz I am a little beotch and wanted to make it thru the season without picking up pieces of pistons out of the sand.

Went to 12 pounds the next day and finished the last day at 14 pounds. At 14 pounds of boost the 2 seat car is a rocket ship.

  2. While you old guys were at home rubbing your belly and watching reruns of Oprah,  the Brew Crew was tearing up Mother G. Weather was epic and dunes were smooth. I know you camp queen V8 guys probably get anxiety watching a little v6 car shredding the dunes. 🤪

Very Nice!  Are you running Revolution shocks ?

He is. They are the 3.0 5-way external adjustable bypass coilovers. Badass shocks.

I am yanking my coilover and separate bypass off this summer and installing a set of these shocks.

  4. Up for sale is a Mendeola 4E transaxle. Just got it back from Rancho with a full rebuild. Tranny has very low hours since new and this was its first rebuild. It came out of a car that sat for over 10 years. Located in Placentia $6200.00

  6. I've got a brand new pair of extreme revolution 1600.15 paddles for sale. They are uncut so they have both paddles still on the tire.

So I attempted to cut the paddles myself and cut too deep on the second paddle I was cutting. I stopped and haven't touched them since. I feel a volcanized patch or a tube and these tires will operate like new. I don't have a car that needs a tire of this size any longer. Date code looks like 5014.

    $300 and they are yours

  7. My group is in Wash 4-6 area. half of us leave our stuff in storage across the street so its convenient. I would like to move deeper in the washes or over to Gecko but my group are a bunch of old grumpy MoFO's who hate change. So I guess i am staying :crying:

  8. Got a new Hero 12 camera and actually used it this past weekend. Its nothing special or fancy. No music or editing, that stuff is way past my pay grade or patience.

On a side note, are there any drones out there that can fly themselves and just chase me around and get good video? And how much??

  9. I just got home from a 4 day boys trip to Mother G. and holy crap it was an amazing trip. Dunes were beat up in the usual places but with a little creativity you could cut a smooth line. Had the place to ourselves. We were in Wash 4 and only had a handful of neighbors. My best trip this year

You are probably right. I have had a boner for custom Manx's for decades. I think Dejong has done a solid job with their LT Manx but there is so much room to grow. Don't get me wrong, their has been some nice Manx cars built (I probably have their pics saved on my computer) but not one of them has hit on the fit and finish as some of the top tier buggies are doing.

  11. Man, I saw the name Chip Foose and Manx and my mind went crazy. He is so creative and some of his projects and detail are unmatched. This manx does  not live up to that standard. Clean little car but was left wanting more.

  12. Not sure I understand why there is a roll up garage door in the kitchen area. Also the exposed HVAC duct work in the kitchen area and the gloss epoxy floors is very commercial looking. I get the feeling this guy was a commercial contractor and doesn't have a ton of residential knowledge.

The back yard has dirt off the patio area. Chief Inspector says I need drainage / SOD / Mulch or some sort of ground cover. I told him that's where the POOL goes. "You have a pool permit?" Not yet, trying to contract with a company right now. He said, "You get a pool permit and I'll look over that area. Met the guy today we're going to hire. Paul Miller Custom Pools. He's been in business 40 years. Wife really liked the man. Guy said it takes 6-8 weeks to get the permit. Looked at the wife and she said........I'll handle that part. It's not what you know it's who you know. Let's hope the signed contract and the wife will push us right to the front. We have yet to use her power with the City. Looks like it's time! Peace

I've got $100 on her getting it signed off. Simple formality.

  14. What is holding you back from getting final sign off?

I've been following this thread from the beginning and greatly appreciate you sharing your journey with us. Its an awesome house and you have done amazing. You are almost there.
