I need to find out more of this 'Diesel at Costco'. Never heard of such a thing!

Not all of them have it.  I have 2 costco's about the same difference from me.  This was in AZ.  One has LPG fill, gas station with only unleaded, and a car wash.  The other one has LPG, gas station with both Diesel and unleaded.  No car wash.  Its nice because I can fill both the bus and the fill station at the same time.

No one ever gets behind me when I have the whole rig together.  lol

  2. So just looked up their policy.

A: Costco attendants are instructed to enforce all provisions of the International Fire Code (IFC) regarding filling portable containers:

International Fire Code (IFC) 2019 Edition

    2304.4.1 Approved containers required

Class I, II and IIIA liquids shall not be dispensed into a portable container unless such container does not exceed a 6-gallon (22.7L) capacity, is listed or of approved material and construction, and has a tight closure with a screwed or spring loaded cover so designed that the contents can be dispensed without spilling. Liquids shall not be dispensed into portable cargo tanks.

    2304.4.2 Nozzle operation

A hose nozzle valve used for dispensing Class I liquids into a portable container shall be in compliance with section 2306.7.6 and be manually held open during the dispensing operation.

2304.4.3 Location of containers being filled

Portable containers shall not be filled while located inside the trunk, passenger compartment or truck bed of a vehicle.
  3. For years now I have gone to costco to fill up my coach (diesel) and the box trailer (91).  Few weeks ago I took my box trailer down there with my truck to fill up my 55gal drum that is inside and has been for years.  Its mounted and plumbed inside.  I always open my side door, pull up, and get to filling.  So as the thing is filling away here comes a tenant and says you cant fill that and proceeds to shut off my pump!

We start to go at it.  He tells me you cant fill any portable tank over 6 gallons.  I tell him its not portable its secured and plumbed to the trailer.  He says its portable.  Pull out $100 bill and tell him I will give it to him on the spot if he can move it.  He declines and says sorry you cant fill it.  I explain I have been doing the same routine for 5 years this is the first time they have said something.  I tell him I want to talk to a manager.  He said it might be a while.  I let him know I have nothing but time and point to the line behind me.  He accepts and walks off saying he will be back shortly with his manager.

I get out my card and fire the pump back up.  🙂

Just as I am about 5 gallons away from my 55 they start walking back over so I hit the stop pump button.  Manger proceeds to repeat the same thing.  I ask what the difference is between what I have and what a toy hauler has.  She does not engage and just says that 6 gallons is the max.  I say fine.  Can I just get my 6 gallons and be on my way?  Sure she says.

I fire the pumps back up and get my last 5 gallons...

So now I either need to build a tank into my trailer (always wanted to do this anyways) or put a Y and filler neck with fuel door on the side of my trailer.  Anyone added a tank to their trailer that fits between the rails?  I would like to get this done while I play the costco fill up game.

Is that the 160 or 260 verision?

Its the surron.  So exactly the same as the segway 260 only it does not have bluetooth control and it only comes in black.  Segway is the main investor in Surron.  Segways you can get colored frames.  They were sold out everywhere I looked.  Got mine directly from Luna Cycles off the interwebs.

  5. Little update.  This thing is amazing.  Took it camping last weekend up north.  Followed my son around in the forest on his 50 Predator.  Couple of the kids in camp rode it all weekend. Both parents said "Thanks A-Hole.  Now they wont shut up about getting one"  lol

Bike has a 10 amp charger so not really sure how long it takes to charge but I plugged it into my little 3500 when I was running my convection oven and it was charged before my food was done.  Only charged it once in 3 days and the kids rode it pretty much non stop.  Best part was it was silent.

Cant wait to see how it does in the sand.  I did put a more cush seat on it.  The basic one was a little more motocross than I wanted.

Rode the canal and did 23 miles.  Still had 47% battery left when I got home.

  6. If you don't want to fix it (Its very fixable based on those pics), toss it up on CL with the "mechanics special" in the title.  It will be gone before the days over.  Especially with it not having a salvage title.  There are people out there with more time then money and thats a perfect car for them to use or fix and sell.

Take that extra money and put to towards his next car.

Personally I would just get it rolling again with he bare bones parts.  Order the rest and fix as you go.  He is still a young buck and the car is paid for.

  7. I would say the baja step is used a ton in phx.  Most are 9" deep with a few umbrella holders/ small table and then mist heads to fog the area out.  If you aim the mist heads out over the water it will roll around like fog.  Looks amazing at night with lights.

  8. I was at Home Depot and there was a sign on the door saying there was a shortage of large skeletons.  Im guessing there will also be a shortage of Ghosts this year too.  Not sure how this affects peoples camping plans.

No shortage of invisible man though, so will probably see a-lot of that until ghost supply catches back up with demand.

With my booster at Roadrunner I can hit Brawley. also it boost all the hot spots from all the carriers.

Which antenna do you use for directional boost?  I have an omni right now.  Was going to get a directional when its needed.  Lake Powell is so low now that the cell service towers wont reach down into the hole for the marinas.

  10. I wouldn't want a new RV of any kind.  Its one of those items that you ARE going to have issues with.  I think the GD.com crowd is luckier then most because the nature of our sport requires us to fix things with very few options in the middle of nowhere.

I bought my first Monaco pusher 98 after selling my warrior.  Loved the pusher and decided I wanted one a little better after 2 seasons and bought a newer Monaco 04 with a Tag.  Had a guy flag me down waving his hands and telling me to pull over.  I thought something was wrong with the trailer or coach.  So I pulled over into a side street and he pulls up to my drivers side window and I get a "Awesome coach!  Want to sell it?"  People ask if I will sell it all the time.  Very few coaches are made like some of the older units were.

  11. With my two kids now starting to ride and venture out a little further then just the very small confines of camp, I am looking for an electric pit bike to mess around on.

Would like something of quality and that has enough torque to make it in and out of the baby dunes.
