    Unbelievable turnout.

    40 yard dumpster crammed full.

Brad at Daddy's served over 750 tacos for lunch.

700+ logged volunteers. From gecko, olds, wash 6 and the flats.

    Hundreds of prizes handed out.

Brad from Daddy's came in clutch for dinner plans last min when the pizza guy Dang Bros went to crap.

Daddy's last min came thru with 500 burgers, who knows how many hot dogs.

Amazing day, amazing event with Genesis RV,

    Rowley White RV

Clean Dune Project, Desert Whips, Dune and Destroy, Glamis Veterans, Sand Asylum.

ASA on site, Reach Air Med, BLM office, rangers, medics and maintenance workers.

Great to see everyone come together for this cause.

Couldn't have pulled this off without all the volunteers.

Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep

    Rating: 4.7

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
    Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

  3. This is a tough one...

When Wes called the other day and told me the news, I felt the same way. No words.

I remember so many nights at wash 22.  The day he put Baja to rest. Arguing about stupid chit around the campfire and one thing I'll never forget was one particular conversation about Glamis...

Turned out we both had the same thing that brought us back over, and over again...

Was it Wash 22? The EPO's? The sunsets? The campfires? The night rides? The night trains??? 😱 Hanging out with the @ChEFF of the world? (Truthfully, that Was pretty bad azz). 😎

But, there was ONE thing we both felt exactly the same about. It hit me like a ton of bricks when he said it, cause it was the absolute truth for the both of us...

None of it compared to the feeling we got following @Slappy on our quads through the dunes.

It was as close to heaven, as one could ever get, here on earth.

    Love you Brian. Ride on.

    😭💕😎

What a day of crying yesterday. I lost my best friend and brother today. He was the best person I ever knew. Many people knew him on the board. His old board name was hotrnhell. I can't even think of another person that was loved so much. He's going to be truly missed every single day. He lost his fight with covid. He was truly one of the better people on this planet. I was going to write up a whole page about him and now I fight to think of words to say. My heart is so heavy I really just don't know what to say.Chad you will truly be missed brother. Rest in peace.     For those that don't know Chad was Duner of the year a few years ago. He saved the young girl's life. Her arm was severed in the dunes and he kept her from bleeding out until the helicopter came.

I'm sad to hear this news.

My condolences to Rae and her family, Nik and Ray, Jimbo.....hell the whole Got Sand crew that he ran with back when I started camping with him in Glamis.

He always had a spot for me at the Compound, or anyone actually.

Rest in Peace you crazy party animal.

So this one time I decided to head out and do a night train by myself. It was the night after the girls girls girls EPO. A fellow member named raptorlicious, a fantastic lady, came out to do a night train also. I had jumped across the other side of the tracks and the train was going by. I heard her yell, “hey Rob, are you over there?.”   I said “yes I am”.  She could barely hear me over the sound of the train going by.  She then took a picture of the train from ground level in the direction where she thought she heard the voice come from.  At that same time I was kneeling down looking under the train cars going by, and the train was moving quickly. I saw the flash of a camera from below the train from the other side, and this is the picture she got. It was way cool, and a one in a million pic.
