Looks like my focus. This site is no doubt the greatest. A little biased of course due to the fact I love to Dune with everyone on this site. And I love to get info regarding stuff I don't know about. Toys / Tools / and exciting purchases I would have never owned. And of course the friends I've gained over the years. Peace

This builder is out of Austin, TX. Robotic concrete construction. Much cheaper, since there aren't any carpenters involved and the robot works 24 hrs a day, builds the entire house in a week or less.

Thats amazing. Today my plumbers left because it was too hot to work. I wonder if the machine complains about the weather? Peace

  4. Finally washed Ol Black Betty this morning. She's been dirty (thanks to Stugotz) from the Presidents week trip. Or should I say Thanks to the backside of the Glamis Beach Store. A bunch of water drains back there and we drove right thru it. It was dark after watching the sunset at the Ledge. Just watched an awesome Playoff Hockey Game NY Islanders beat the TB Lightening. Went skinny dipping with the wife. Resting up before we watch a Jazz band play on main street tonight. Peace

Well…… I’ve been told that some of my friends state that “ If Robert is not at Glamis then most likely he is in his garage getting ready for Glamis”. But there’s even more to do this weekend….. I am also keeping a eye on my little new little buddy……. Making sure she is safe from the evils of the world.

I have seen the property in person and its nice. Can't wait to see it done and make sure I get the mints on the pillow when Stacey and I stay.

We have a pool and a pond. Pond is good for you and I. Lets hope Sharon and Stacey allow us near the pool. Mint on the pillow? We leave Copenhagen. Peace

Love this thread. It's VERY apparent you are not in Ca. looking at the crane, rigging, etc...  :thumb:

Amazing the difference. CA owns their people. Here in Texas they asks politely...."Can we come on your property?" Peace

  8. Have a friend that just built Kubota Corporate in Grapevine, Texas. He's the President of Kubota. When they excavated the property for this massive structure, they moved the boulders across the street. He knows my Dream Home Build and says take what you can. I called my good buddy DBL J who just happened to be in Grapevine Erecting the Baptist Church. All his equipment was 1 mile from our lot. So, we administered a plan....brought over his Crane....started placing these massive boulders on the edge of my pond. There was 4-5 boulders we couldn't move. TOO BIG!! All this Rock (FREE). And the Crane (FREE). He owns the Crane and was fired up to help! Of Course Da chEFF threw cash everyones way that weekend! How often do you get the chance to Landscape your property with awesome people who know their Chit?! Crane operators are talented people. These Massive Rocks don't just fall into place. They're gently moved very slowly! Billy (Excavator) and Jimmy (Crane) were very impressive. Can't thank these guys enough for the experience. We had a great day! We also brought over a bunch of little rocks for Landscaping around the property. Enjoy the pictures. Can't wait to see the water flowing over these rocks. We'll discuss Water Pumps later! Peace

Build it and they will come..

That's what we're afraid of! A 6700 sq ft (ONE BDRM) home. The kids asked, "Where's our room Dad?" Exactly! Peace

I don't think it will alleviate much.  It'll go down once people spin up alternative sources of lumber, but there is a significant portion of our existing tree farms tied up in carbon credits:

Get a check......Keep your timber Standing! WOW.......Sounds like the scenario playing out right now. We'll pay you more money to stay home. Peace
