  1. I had a great season. I blew the motor in my car the first trip and spent most the season dealing with a new motor so I didn’t get to enjoy the car till my last trip.
But that didn’t stop us from going out and still had a blast every time. I am getting older and riding the quads is more work than I want to admit.
My wife drove the new car most on the last trip and loved the power in the new motor. That was a huge plus, it kinda justifies all the money and hard work put into it.
Overall there were some great adventures had and I really look forward to next season, it’s going to be even better.

  2. Man you have a lot of opinions here and you know what they say right? They’re like a-holes. Everyone’s got ‘em and they all stink. Want mine? I wouldn’t go for either. Save your money. Season is almost over and you might score on something better for less. You don’t want to buy a Gen 2 and put a bunch of money into it, what’s the point if you don’t already have the budget

It also comes down to a few different factors. Were the cars taken care of? Frame cracks? Engine, trans in good shape? seats, lights.. paint even…

When it comes to older cars you can’t just base your decision by the brand.

Maybe find out what you want. Then when you decide, search and search and search till you find exactly what you want. Don’t just pull the trigger on whatever is there.

But if you’re set on one of the two, my vote is the green S&S .

but hey, I know my opinion stinks too..

Side point: A 2D is a great transmission, especially for the power plan that is in both of those cars. 2Ds treated right will last a long time.

  3. I hate offer up. I don’t have Facebook and refuse. I use Craigslist for some stuff. Vehicles I use Instagram pages like famous or Epic.
I still like Craigslist, I just can identify the scammers. I have even gotten some great employees off Craigslist adds.

Just look around.   Men aren't men anymore and women never cared anyway.  Boomers were the last generation to really understand this.  Gen X...50/50.  Millennials and Zoomers?   Good luck.

Now go look at the specs on a game box, phone or face cream... consumers know everything about those products.

I might not be the smartest man out there, but I’ll be damned if I don’t know what’s in my face cream..

ok joking aside, I had to be funny but I started out trying to say there are still plenty of us who will do our best to figure it out on our own. Our motors, internals, and inner workings of what we have, try and fix our dishwashers, washing machines, change our own tires on the side of the road.  People these days are idiots, but geezus man I have faith that there still plenty of us that are alive.

Not just your comment Mac, all your guys comments…There are still men out here. All of you included. Men who will stick up for their families by any means necessary and be proud to know if their gay ass golf car sxs is water cooled or overhead cam or pushrod injected. I might not fit in that category but I’m sure they are out there.

Long live the men who can get the Nintendo game cartridge to work by blowing it out!

im still trying to be funny. But seriously tho…

  5. We’re stuck at the rest stop off the 8, freeway is closed to high profile rigs. We’re 1.5 hour away from home and decided we will just sleep here till it opens up. Hopefully it does soon.

I had a bitchin weekend. Didn't get the motorhome stuck, ripped smooth fantastic dunes, and drank ice cold beers. Doesn't get any better than that!

By the way, there's killer open dunes from the backside of patton, all the way to glamis on the westside. Don't be afraid to get away from the crowds. We've duned that entire area a ton this season. Some of the best lines in the dunes without a single track on them. (and this is all coming from someone who likes duning in Glamis better, just can't stand the crowds on holiday weekends)

Dude your car is so sick! That thing looks like a beast!

  7. We camp there usually at least 2 times a season. …Broken dishes from getting the motorhome through the soft spots, We have had our share of tickets from blasting through closed areas. We camp outside the grid where theres not a lot of jackasses. But all in all, we like it because it’s not where everyone can easily go, and honestly, anything worth doing usually is difficult.

  8. Im glad you went with your gut instinct. That is worth a lot. If you didn’t feel great about buying before, you probably wouldn’t feel different after. I have been looking for a used truck for quite a while and after trying to deal with used car salesmen that want an arm and a leg for used junk I decided to pull the trigger. I ended up buying a brand new 2500 4x4 long bed dodge yesterday, and the funny thing is the same truck a few years old with 50k miles is going for only about $5k less. Plus I have a 100k mile warranty and extras with it.  I drove 6 extra hours to get it but it was worth it, I got a smokin deal.

With that said, used trucks HAVE TO start coming down in price, especially if people can buy new for close to the same price.

    Good luck on your search.

  9. This is hilarious. It can’t be called spying if you know it’s there. That’s freely giving information. But what do I know?

It’s pretty funny to watch all the things that go on in politics. Man can’t direct his own step…
