  1. We recently bought a couple of them, actual ebikes, with pedals.  My daughter and I have been having a great time on them.  We basically treat them like regular bikes, ride in the bike lanes and wear bike helmets.  So far no hassles and I don't see us causing anybody else any issues either.  The bikes were delivered as class 2 bikes, but we immediately made a menu setting change and they can do about 28 mph or so.  Most of the time we are cruising closer to 20 mph.  Like I said, so far I don't see the problem and they've been good for us.  Maybe it's not an ebike issue and more of a people-being-a$$holes issue.

If you get one do NOT mount it flat like in my picture.  They get moisture inside and corode.  It's a known issue and the install manual should be updated to mount verticle.

We recently got the SP9100 for Jacob's truck.  I was looking in the install instructions (I know, shocker) and they now say in bold lettering to mount the power module in a vertical position.

  3. Can anybody confirm that these flat "Star Mount" enclosures work well?  I know the stock dish moves itself to aim, so not sure what you give up by having a fixed flat mount. I assume there must be a reason they went through the trouble to make the auto aiming base for the dish.

  4. It killed me to see that happen to Tomac.  I had hopes he would wrap up the championship and then retire on top after this season.  I have no doubt he COULD come back, but I'm not sure he should.  He'll be a year older, probably somewhat rusty, and Chase will be a year better.

I agree, wash road was at it's finest.

But it also brought undesirables to wash 27 who decided to have a "RAVE?" at 4:00 AM and shut down around 8 AM.

Nope, that was in wash 25.  I camped in wash 27 and heard it all night and morning.  Drove around at 7:30 AM to see who it was.  I assumed it was the one other camp in 27 with us, but it was some people on the edge of wash 25 with one RV and a bunch of cars and tents.

Look us up, grey toter and grey stacker. Black   nitro burning dragster

Definitely will. So tell me this...we are drag race fans, but new to sand drags. So I don't understand what all the classes are. I'm not planning to be there all day, but maybe a few hours. When should I go to see the fastest/coolest stuff? What classes should I be looking for on the schedule? I see Saturday has a big chunk of time dedicated to some gambler class, but not sure what that is.

So Glamis Rescue across from Sweet Marie's is not the same business as Glamis 911?

From what I can tell Glamis911 is the same as Glamis Recovery. Those are the guys with the Ford trucks on tracks that got stuck out in the dunes a few times this season :)  Glamis Rescue is the repair place by Sweet Marie's with the little red snowcat. Based on the stories here, it sounds like both kinda suck :classic_biggrin:

    $35 calendar? Any GD.com discount?

This is a low volume product, so not cheap to produce.  In addition, @Horsepower Lifestyles worked with a couple of top-notch young photographers (one is my son 😁) and is compensating them for all of their work. I get it's not priced like a calendar at the store, but it's a niche product, so it doesn't get produced in the thousands.
