kinda looks like someone tossed a Tesla in the dryer

:classic_biggrin::5: I don't love the EVs. I see them as being a disposable vehicle once the battery has died and if I'm right, think of the amount of money thrown down that hole. The hybrids are bad too. Once that main battery goes, it's an expensive job but not one that will total out the car.

In what terrain? Any hills will kill that Honeymoon, quickly.

You make it up on the downhill. And if you mean speed, they keep up just fine. They aren't for everyone but as a commuter, they are hard to beat.

Anyone got pics of their FJ Cruisers? Its cool some folks do use them to hit trails too.

This was a Toyota held press introduction when the FJ was introduced to the public. I was invited along to Gorman offroad park to run the FJ through some admittedly minor tests. I had my Tacoma TRD offroad along also and the FJ handily outperformed it on some of the 4x4 trails.

you may consider a lexus gx smaller with v8 bulletproof engine, theres a reason world govts build these to transport dignitaries

My old 08. It has 4 doors and is heavy so not super friendly as a toad but damn, it four wheeled good. These also became super expensive for what they are (V8 4runner) because they somehow became popular for overlanding.

  5. FJ Cruisers are about perfect for what you want. You can find them for that price point but they will have  a bunch of miles. I think they are far overpriced right now. Wranglers may give you much more for the money and the aftermarket support is insane. You'll look like every other guy on the trail though.

  6. Take an MSF street course. It's a great class in basic rider operation and safety and a small bike is provided. Usually yamaha xt250, honda crf250L type bikes though some classes have street oriented bikes. It's usually a 3 day course. Then, ride your neighborhood on your own bike practicing what you learned and getting seat time. I generally tell people that ideally, you want to start on a small and simple machine to get some hours on. A bagger isn't ideal but plenty of people have started on them so it can be done.

Im gonna have a fleet of these grinders each with different tool on it. Love them

I have 3 cordless and one corded makita grinder. Cut off wheel, flap wheel, and a knotted wire wheel. Having at least 2 grinders makes the project come along so much faster.

  8. I'm working on earning certificates in a course called electric power technology. This is the use of industrial electrical and electronics. Low voltage, single and 3 phase, VFD's, PLC's, etc. If you think what's out there now is bad, wait till this new batch of covid kids graduate. I'm 45 and I have classes of 4-8 students. These classes would have been 20+ pre-covid. Usually, there are 1-2 standouts and the rest of the kids can't figure out how to turn on their DMM, get to class on time or even come in every day. As Mike Rowe so often says, the standard path was a 4 year college else you were doomed to a life of hard labor till your job was taken by AI. Now, AI is taking white collar jobs and the knowledge of how to design, build, and repair infrastructure is fast disappearing.
