Damn the new trucks are stupid expensive.  My Ford dealer keeps sending me offers to buy my truck back for what I paid for it 4 years ago, that's fine and all but it would cost me another 20k to get another one, no thanks. I'm going to throw another coat of wax on my 2019 super duty and keep it another 8 or 10 years  LOL.

I just sold my 2021 tacoma trd pro for basically msrp. 2 years old with 18000 miles on it. What a strange world we're living in.

  2. I hear that super duke is a beast. I put 30K on this FZ1. When I rode often, I had no fear. I started driving the car with its heater and cup holder and pretty soon, lost my reflexes. I sold the fizzer and even though I miss riding, I can't commit to enough seat time to stay safe. I'll stick with the econobox. The 1 above San Francisco is an amazing road by the way.

  3. I had no idea there were so many a arm cars out back then. I don't remember ever seeing them unless they were homemade. I remember mid travel beam cars became popular then I started seeing the A arm and other "long" travel cars. SU, Tatum and the Funco hustler designs look remarkably modern.

  4. If you choose the Getty, it may take an hour or longer to get to the museum entrance from when you park. You can walk and get there faster than the shuttle but it is a hike. I'm not into art but I really enjoyed it and an afternoon wasn't enough time to get through the whole thing.

.NEVER has this country seen this type of attack against a President or past President.

It's a lesson. This is the swamp making an example of Donald Trump. Go after the swamp and the swamp will continue to squeeze you, punish you, and make your life hell at every single turn for the rest of time. Never attack the swamp because the swamp is too big to fail. I am continually surprised, and a bit horrified at the lengths the media, politicians, and people in power have and will go to to make Trumps life hell. There is no doubt that the president is a puppet. That there is a secret society in America.

Not sticking up from them but what I heard was this was the normal time line for that industries bonuses, ie this was the same paycheck week they got their bonuses in last year. And it was employee wide, not just the C-suites getting the bonuses.

From my view in the cheap seats, a bonus is a reward for doing well. If the bank is going under, those bonus dollars need to go to depositors and then shareholders.

I have a hundred of them because every time I turn around I need another strange one...

Same. I haven't found the funnel that is a do all. Small ones fit almost everywhere but you don't want an oil change taking an hour. I have 6 and use them all. Don't forget these nifty inventions for when nothing else works because an engineer wanted to flex his autocad skills.

  8. Working in the automotive field, I can tell you that manufacturers are moving away from owner serviceable components. The idea is that the engine never has to be opened up for its life aside from oil changes. We were told that a good 10 years ago. And it was a boast at the time.

thanks @Fireballsocal.  this shed is FULL of "stuff".  I will really need to empty it before I can figure out how big a problem I got going.  there is no dirt around it, save for what is under the brick walk way & the slab.

as a general rule, how often should a house be tented?

is there a "maint" for termites where they spray around the property and/or in the attic or something???

I'm not an expert or even all that knowledgeable so I'll defer to people with more experience for expert advice. For my opinion, I don't think you ever need to tent a house unless you have a very large problem. One that can't be dealt with by the homeowner using commercially available products. My parents house, built in 77 has never been tented. My old house, built in '87 and sold in 2021 had never been tented despite having 3 separate small occurrences of termites,  all in different areas of the house. As far as maintenance, I would be leary of any maintenance costs that don't come with a no termite guarantee. If the company offers a guarantee, read it carefully to see what it covers.

  10. This isn't rocket science at this point. Grab some termite spray like spectracide or another well known brand at home depot or off amazon. Drill a 1/8" hole into the wood where you see evidence of termites at a downward angle so the spray fills the hole and absorbs into the wood. Drill a few holes under and above the area you see the termite holes. Spray and fill the holes with the spray once every couple of days till you stop seeing evidence of termites. I've had multiple instances of termites in my old house and was able to make them disappear quickly each time using this method.

If this is a large infestation or you are unable to make the termites disappear, then it's time for some of the other suggestions but for a small infestation, you can easily handle it yourself.
