Final story to close out the trip. The first time I came here about 18 years ago I went golfing with my wife's friends husband. I'm left-handed and didn't bring my sticks. The guy speaks no English. We get to the course and the only set of lefty clubs is already rented. So they give me some righty's and off I go. It was so embarrassing and frustrating trying to learn to golf backwards. The worst part is you are given a young female caddy. My poor girl was chasing my ball all over the jungle whenever I was lucky enough to hit it. She was better than anything I've ever seen at finding a ball.
The highlight of the day for me was teeing off on 18 and actually hitting one down the middle. I couldn't believe my eyes when out of nowhere a monkey came running into the fairway and stole my ball.
My wife told me today we live less than 10 minutes from the course. I had to stop by and get a few pictures. Seeing it again today I couldn't believe how many monkeys there were. They are everywhere.

Going to a Wedding tonight in Phuket. Fly back to Bangkok in the morning and back home to reality in a couple days. Looking forward to some cooler weather.

We spent the day yesterday on the water so not much to show. Our group chartered the boat at Kan Eang resort. It was a non stop party all day. We anchored off an island called Banana reef and went swimming / snorkeling. The water was nice but too many jelly fish at the time so it was enter at your own risk.
I hope to go out tonight and get pictures from the walking street. It's called Bangla Rd if anybody wants to Google it. Have a good night everyone.

Rainiest Supercross series ever!
Could really shake things up!
It's the only thing that's kept the series close. I'm picking Sexton.

can somebody from the USA just go over and buy or do they have to be a native?
My wife said you have to be a citizen to buy property.

It would probably be cheaper to just buy them paint matched already and sell the chrome ones.

Laughing as the hydrogen fuel cell technology improves daily. Infrastructure is being built and fuel cell rigs are starting to move product in and out of major trucking transfer locations..
Come on hydrogen.
My buddy bought one of the Toyota Mrai's and there's very few places he can go to get fuel. He will be happy to hear the infrastructure is growing.

What’s the cost of a house in Thailand
That's not easy to answer as it's all dependent on location. The houses in our little area are about 100k

Very nice set up.
Question, what do you guys plan on doing with the house when you are not there? Are there any issues/worries about it being vacant for long periods of times when you are not there? And are you guys planning on going back more frequently now that yoi have your own place to stay when there.
Fortunately my sister in law stays there when we are not there. She leaves her house to her son and takes care of our place. I'm 2 years away from retirement and contemplating living there part time and staying in the US during the Glamis season after I retire. A lot to consider.

2 things.................
1. did you ride in the turbocharged boat? (get a video!!!!)
2. what is with the old truck? does it run or is it just a decoration? seems unlikely it would be able to live in the weather for too many years.
Yes we rode in the boat. It's a turbo diesel. Wasn't really fast like what you can see on You Tube. The old truck was just decoration. Had really nice patina. lol

Is there a CC limit on two wheels their?
No CC limit that I'm aware of. The reason for scooters is space. The streets are small and congested in the cities.

Last pics for now. These are random from my town. You don't see traditional restaurants like at home. People eat from street vendors and or food markets. One of my favorite things about Thailand is the food and all the scooters. Every stop light looks like the starting line of a motorcycle race. Scooters are everywhere.
Also included this truck. It was loaded with live ducks.

Yes, that's the back of my wife's head. Oh, you mean the hot chick, I just accidentally got her in the pic with the sunset.
