We just received 4.
My wife 51 - liberal, but not socialist
Me 49 - Libertarian ,.. generally vote with the Republicans (cause the Libertarians can't get 'together')
My Son 24 - Republican - was a socialist until a few years ago when he say 'the light' he's about as far right as they come.
My Daughter 22 - Republican, was also a socialist due to school indoctrination until she too saw the left for what it is.
Bottom line, my house was 3 (Left Democrats) vs 1 (Conservative).. and now the tables have turned, 3 (Conservatives) vs 1 (Left Democrat)!
My wife and I rarely discuss politics. She's a great woman and a true 'Bleeding Heart Liberal' .. love to see her abandon her party. Doubt she wants the police defunded or be for paying reparation's, etc... probably wants universal health care because she doesn't understand it. Not sure where she is on BLM, but let's face it bad cops kill 1-3 black people per year.. if you really cared about blacks, you'd care about the 20 blacks that killed other blacks in the last weekend, right? Face it, it's community.. blacks kill blacks, Asians kill Asians, Whites kill Whites, Hispanics kill Hispanics (predominately).

I agree, we should have and remain an 'air/drone' campaign only,.. just keep sending them back to the 8th century. That would be money well spent.

If we can't get the military goods out, we should at least drone strike them.. or blow them up on the way out. Eff Afghanistan!

... Working all weekend.. I have a new lot of semiconductors I obtained/purchased from a customer. I'm so swamped with quoting and orders that I can only get to receiving on the weekends right now... not complaining, I'm KILLING it right now and there's lots of parts with long lead times in this lot. Need to get them cataloged and up on the internet for this week's business. It's really REALLY tedious and boring work, but the pay-off has never been better.
I'll make a grip (1/2 for me 1/2 for Uncle Sam and California State) in the next 1-2 years. Once the allocation ends, probably will look to purchase a potential future retirement home (in another state) which I will make into an Air B&B / VRBO, etc. I already have plenty of scratch in the stock market (retirement accounts) so I plan to diversify. .. and I despise Crypto. ..
Already have too much in USD in the bank and as many will know our annual inflation rate (last 12 months) was 5.6%. So I guess that means the purchasing power of let's say $100k.. just became $94.5k in a year.
I just can't think of another place to put it other than real estate (my Laguna Hills home, we paid off 3/4 years ago). Of course I'm always 'investing' in sand toys, but that department is well covered.
Date was set for my oldest daughter's, 29, wedding 10 weeks from now, Lake Arrowhead, so that's exciting. Get to walk my little girl down the isle. First one to get married of 4 kids.
Y'all be safe!
abc
PS. Anyone have a different investing idea, I'd love to hear it... just not sure what else to do (1st world problems, right)? I bought these Crypto coins to eff with my Crpyto buddies, etc. Need more,.. I've given all of them away..

Ugh,.. I see it's licensed in California. I assume you're gonna be out the purchase sales tax you paid. .. UGH.. I assume you'll be taking measurements on the next one. Bought my house 18 years ago and have never had a car parked in it. My detail guy (who comes to the house) loves me. Spent $3500 getting my 05 Suburban painted last year. Not near the ocean, but the sun just burns everything up... I feel ya.

Just received this letter in the mail. Looks like they want to test emissions on my stock 2015 f-250 diesel.
anyone know anything about this or have participated in the program?
says if they select my truck, I’ll get a check for $5000 and a loaner truck while they have it 7-8 weeks.
wondering if I should, wouldn’t mind the money and I’d have my truck back in time for dune season
So funny, I worked at ATDS in the early 90's. My Step-Dad was the VP there. He ended up leaving and starting his own gig Boshart Engineering. They do the exact same thing. Matter of fact, I helped them move a gooseneck trailer with concrete ,.. like K-Rails that they used to test the Chevy's VS. the newer Dodge (when they changed to that bigger transmission a few years back). I'd never tugged 30k lbs with my 08 Duramax and the acceleration was fine, .. just stopping 30k was not easy. Not sure if you'll they'll be towing weight or not.
It's all insured and they just put HWY and city miles on them. Not like they're gonna rally them. A 'data-logger' will be connected so they can read the deal, then they might put it on a dyno. The 'drivers' work 8 hour shifts and they run the vehicles on a 'route' of like 45 miles with like I said a combination of city/hwy to try to duplicate mileage... and have 3 shifts, so they run 24/7 to get miles on.
Because of the data-logger, route and testing parameters, they drive within' the speed limit, etc. etc.
If you don't need your rig for a spell, it's a pretty good deal IMO.
Best,

PS. Call me up if you have any other questions/concerns 949 300 three four seven two.
PPS. I can't believe the owner of ADTS is still alive. He was old, big and heavy back in the day. Maybe he doesn't own it anymore.???

At the family beach condos that my (now deceased) grandparents purchased in 1969 (when they were built) in Carpinteria, CA.
We have 2 in the family trust. Been coming here for my whole life, almost 50 years.
My 15 year old, the puppy and I came up Thursday and my wife, long time friend and her 12 year old boy came up yesterday.
Great weather, food and atmosphere.
As usual, feeling blessed.

Hilarious… maybe Samir wanted to WIN!… Believe it or not my Step-Dad had got convinced to build a rally car. He helped Hyundai get imported and qualified/certified to sell their cars in the US, decades he had this contract.
One of his shop guys got to drive it. His pitch would be that my Stepdad’s company would sell aftermarket parts (dumb idea).
Anyhow it was about a decade ago and I NEVER got to drive/race it.
Still grinds my gears.
I’d love to race rally car, but the spectators are idiots.. sure I would have taken out a crowd of them eventually.
The inner cage was intense… made to crash 😬🤪

PS. This was around when I had my SCU 09’-‘12 time frame.

Brought home the toy hauler to clean. Going to add some distilled water to the batteries. It’s freaking covered in cobwebs.
Maybe go in the pool and Jacuzzi. Got a bunch of inventory for my business which I was receiving in yesterday. I like to do it on the weekends when I’m not interrupted by customers requests.

Yes they make onboard air systems that can run off of your trucks serpentine belt.
it is a nice addition but I am usually towing my toy hauler that would have an air compressor inside so That isn’t something that necessarily need.
They are fun as Eff. Some idiot texting in a 1992 Honda Civic pulls in front of me at 30 miles an hour on the freeway I slam the brakes and simultaneously blast the horn at the same time.
Drain the tank.

Hornblasters.com is where I got mine. Had one on the suburban when it was my tow vehicle and my current one on the dually I’ve had for over 10 years and it’s still going strong.
I have the horns facing down on a custom bracket we built and the tank on the other side .. both inside that large void in front of the tires in the wheel wells.
Get the most expensive one they have, you won’t regret it. Installed I’m sure it was over a grand.
Toggle switch on the dash so you can go regular horn or train.
You have to look at the cost in an amortization mind set. First blast costs you $1000, 2nd $500/blast…
I’ve blasted it so many times I’m like $.10/blast.
I always ‘arm’ it whenever I tow.

PS. I have the conductor’s special nightmare edition.
