  1. Hopefully the left has 'overshot' with their crazy socialist/communist ideaology and will lose in 2022 and 2024. No one is going to elect Kamala IMO.

There is hope for the future. My kids were indoctrinated and repeated all the leftist sh__ they learned in school. Starting looking at other points of view and both have totally flipped to be hard core conservatives. This is my 24 year old (son) and 22 year old (daughter). The 29 year old has always been (Christian) conservative. We'll see with my 15 year old... too soon to tell.

Oh did I ever mentioned my wife is a total bleeding heart liberal.. yeah we don't discuss politics in my house... at least not in front of her.

  2. My dirt's on the '14 definitely have an aggressive tread vs. the stock more closed treads on my '19 (but I run paddles for that one in Glamis). For me it's ALL about AWD/4WD. Lots more control. I just can't believe it took me so many belts to figure out the 'set up' on the '14.

Let us know how it goes.

    Best,

  3. I don't run paddles on my '14 because I think with whatever the stock HP is (96?) it doesn't really do much, momentum is key. I doubt I'll get paddles for it with the 1110cc. After going through over 20 belts and 3 clutches, I figured out how to save the belts,... stay aired up. Running the 8 ply all-terrain's at 15lbs instead of 4lbs-8lbs,.. done. Haven't burnt a belt yet and don't feel like I lost any power.

PS. Gonna get more 'scoop' on my '19, wider rear too. Shoot, I'd better order now so I can have by the season..

  4. I know my post was a little long to read, but to me it boils down to a simple equation... Seat time vs. Prep/travel/maintenance time.

If I was to add up how many hours I'm in the seat driving, having a blast vs. all it takes to make it happen, it's a pretty bad ratio. .. and I refuse to do ANY off-road trip that doesn't go at least 4 days so at worst I have 2 days of travel, breakdown, prep, etc. and at least 2 full days where all I do is enjoy myself.

I've significantly reduced a lot of that 'wasted time' by selling all of my quads, riding gear and crap that goes with those alive (6 quads running and maintained with full riding gear for 6 people is a bitch).

Now, we just have helmets to deal with and I've made good 'rescue n' maintenance' tool bags for the RZR trunks. so it isn't that much, but still... ugh.. some days.

Anyhow, you might see it all up for sale after the 2022 season.

PS. Oh and I do also miss that V8 power. Golf carts are fun and can go to a variety of places that a sand car won't, but my group ALWAYS wants to just do Glamis.

  5. Mac,

Totally get it.. lemme give you my last season's sob story. I plan to make a thread but here's the gist...

Went to KOH in February and just brought my 2014 RZR as I didn't have a 2nd person to drive my Suburban and tow the new one on the flatbed and also had a Shock Therapy appointment that took 4 months to get for the new one in Glamis the following week and didn't want to risk breaking something and missing the appointment/trip.

Well out at KOH driving with a buddy shotgun about 15+ miles from Hammertown near the bombing range, darn car just stalls. We wave off 1 of only 2 people who drove by and got out. Next I see ALL of the oil on the ground and all over the pan. Turns out at some point I'd put a crack in the bottom of the engine case (which you couldn't see with the skid plate), all the oil ran out and the 2014 motor was toast. Luckily a guy in a small Jeep Liberty 4x4,.. I think rolled by. He lived 20 miles in the opposite direction of Hammertown, but $500 cash and he towed us back to camp. We saw NO ONE else. Was happy to pay it, dude saved me. That machine, I decide to upgrade the rebuilt motor to a 1110cc. I didn't take it to the dealer and opted to use my local (vehicle) mechanic. That was over 3 months ago that we got back the motor. Now he is doing other things like making stronger skid plates, Hammertight (or likewise product) on the boxed arms and a few other knick knacks, .. also had a nightmare trying to get the proper upgraded fuel controller. The motor is in, but not sure if it's dialed in yet, it's still at the DAMN shop. Driving me nuts and I'm close to pulling it. Fortunately since I 'hit a rock' it was an insurance claim (got $8300 from insurance) and so most of it will be covered financially.

Next week I take my '19 Turbo S to Glamis and 'side flop' it on the last dune run. Took 1/2 hour to get help to right it and as soon as I turned on the motor and drove 30 feet, the temps soared to 277 degrees, quick limp mode, then it shut itself off. Anyhow, being almost upside-down for 30 minutes cooked that motor. Fortunately, the extended warranty (2 months into it as the 1 year factory warranty was expired) covered it. Dealer did a GREAT job and I wasn't out a penny (saw the bill to the warranty $7400) and I just got done breaking it in a couple of weeks ago, she's ready to rock.

Anyhow, so by the end of February, I had 2 Razors, both with blown motors, within 1 week,.. 1 trip of each other. I definitely  thought about pulling the plug. .. and for me it isn't about the money, it's the amount of time I devote to keeping the 2 machines, TH and tow vehicles going. I'll be 50 in March 2022 and sometimes I think, sell it all and just vacation on the beach.

That being said, I really don't have any other hobbies.. can't ski,.. can't surf.. whatever. Also, I can't sell RZR's with blown motors, so I should at least enjoy a season before I decide to pull the plug.

Wow .. that was a lot of typing. Anyhow, I feel ya. Been going to Glamis off n' on for almost 40 years. I doubt I'll ever throw in the towel, but I think about it from time to time.

OK, that's my sob story for last season.

    Be well.

    abc

PS. Also I had before the season dumped at least $10k into the '19 and $3/4k into the '14. The '19 I did the whole shebang, cage, whips, doors, lights, parker pumper, race radios, Shock Therapy, etc. etc. Also did parker pumper and race radios for the '14 among other maintenance items.

  6. I literally just got off the phone with my doctor to review my latest blood test and she was mentioning that doctors are being censored and that she cannot post anything on social media or other places regarding what she is seeing in the field.

this Physician is young and healthy and was also raised by anti-VAXers. I believe she actually has no vaccinations whatsoever.

that being said she still prefers that her at risk patients get the vaccine and other than that she believes it is a personal choice but I got the impression that if you were relatively young and in good health she probably would discourage it, although again I felt like she was not comfortable expressing her medical opinion generally.

my ex-wife has severe food allergies, very strange ones and her physician specifically told her she should not get the vaccine.

my decision was based on my health, age and desire to travel. I highly doubt that the Covid vaccine is what he’s going to kill me.

Crazy, wonder how many units were destroyed.  Bad for Can-Am customers, is this their main plant? etc?

Yeah, if it’s 100 units, that’s nothing… if it’s 2500… it will change the market

Congrats. I finally did it too. Raised all my kids telling them to wait till they got married so their spouse could have a say. And buying a little time so they mature enough to make a decision like this.  I resisted my desire for one as well for 30+ years. Then when they grew up and got married they all got tatts. LoL.

In February I tested positive for colon cancer. I lived with the diagnoses for a couple weeks. Over the last decade or so I am sure we have all seen people leaving us in the blink of an eye. As I entered the office for my first colonoscopy to confirm the results and determine treatment I was wondering what type of discussion I was going to have with my family when I returned home.   Well, as it turned out it was a complete false alarm. But after that experience I decided to get my Hawaiian islands.

  9. The Jewish reference is not lost on me. I am 1/16 Jewish and know a lot of folks who went through that. Most of them are dead now but I met quite a few with the real thing.

that being said I am having a lot of fun with it. Most people are too young to understand the terminator reference so I have made up some more scenarios to have fun with.

when someone sees it I ask them with a very alarmed and confused look… What do you see?… How do you know?… Let me see your arms… You cannot see that you have one too?

all I know is that I’m actually a clone. The first Kevin Thomas Wxxxxxx (my name)… born in March of 1972… he’s dead... was killed January 17, 1987. He was riding a motorcycle through a red light straight into a tractor-trailer…. killing himself instantly.

I am not his first clone… I became self-aware October 12th, 2017 and I don’t know how I know all these things. I can tell you everything about him, parents names, memories… but they’re not mine…

All I know is that I am the fourth clone of this model. I’m not sure how number 2 or 3 died but we have to keep this between our selves because they are watching us and I don’t think there’s many of us left.

Watch your back …. I think they’re coming for you too.

  10. Yes sir… Front page of the Los Angeles times the day after my rson was born on March 1, 1997 shootout was February 28, 1997 In the old days we always bought the front page news paper when our children were born in so that is the photo on the front page.

  11. When the tattoo artist grabbed the UPC symbol off the Internet we just removed the numbers so I actually don’t know what the scan is. When I’m in target or any other place with a scanner I am going to try to scan it to see if I have a pack of tampons or a box of Triscuits 😬🤪🤣🕺🤦‍♂️

  12. Yes it should be more faded and the lines should be more spaced out but whatever I’m down with it it’s pretty fun.

I’m not sure there is a Sara version but I was basing it on the Kyle version

Have you scanned it to see if it says what you think it says?  Does it say Not sure?

I hope it’s like an angle grinder. With my luck it’s a dildo or some Effing disposable diapers or something.

  14. Yeah … had the benefit of watching the pros race one time. We had the dope high private spot because a dude got me into the Troy Lee Designs deal.

Our own private Porta potty‘s, unlimited beers and tacos.

I’d like to just come sometime during these track days where they do amateur races and just watch people tear it up.

    But not in this heat😬😮💨😱💯

  15. Regular motorcycle tracks are open. The UTV track is a little ways away but I was throwing up a bunch of dust so I only went a few laps before I got out of there as I don’t wanna get busted for trespassing or anything.

Anyhow it is a fun track I was going to rent it and I looked into it it’s about $2500 and you can have three UTV‘s on the track and they even provide safety and flag people. I turn 50 in March and I am thinking about arranging a track day for me and my buddies. From what I remember you get the track from 9 AM to 2 PM.

    oh and… Get some!
