Where are these facts and where is the evidence?

Your post is not very believable using vulnerable arguments such as "more often than not".

Hey Danzio let me throw you $30k for an engine. Could you imagine if they said "more often than not" the engine works?

You are correct in a sense, there are not many sources I trust at this point.

You know why? They have ALL been wrong and lied every step of the way since this entire thing started.

If you want I can post news articles, statements and memos from 2 years ago to today from the media, the .Gov, and the CDC LITERALLY contradicting facts they originally claimed.

I dont really want to argue but it is disingenuous to make the claim you are making.

I don't disagree with most of what you're saying. I don't think any of us know the answers, and unfortunately, I honestly don't think there is a news outlet in existence that provides unbiased facts anymore. I watch Tucker (for his opinion)more that anybody, but even he has changed his format to not engage in debate with the other side. His show used to have a couple of Dems on that he would debate each night. No more. Just a one sided discussion. No different than CNN and MSNBC, just a conservative bias instead of liberal. As far as stats. You can look up hospital vaxed vs unvaxed rates  by state.

List your source there buddy?  Lol.  It is absolutely disputable by anyone who is willing to actually do research and not just listen to their unbelievably biased news.

Ok buddy. Kind of a waste because you'll only listen to your incredibly biased "news source", but here's a few. FYI, I just copied and pasted the first articles that came up. I could find another 100 but it wouldn't matter cause your minds been made up. Mine hasn't. Unlike a lot of people, I  don't pretend to know anything about this virus. Just trying my best to make an educated decision.

If you got the polio vax and then got polio, they would say it didn’t work.  But this amazing shot seems to make it much worse for those that have gotten it and y’all still thinking about more shots.

can you please explain that logic to me.  I just can’t seem to get that thought process.  I am not trying to be a jerk at all.  I am just blown away at this thought process and can not seem to understand it.

Your statement has no factual basis. Its indisputable that the vast majority of those in the hospital around the country are unvaxed. I never understood the logic of those that will never accept any evidence that doesn't fall in line with there opinion.

  4. 1 hour ago, DTA said:

You dont understand it because it makes no sense.

    No argument.

The facts are...there are no facts nor evidence supporting taking the "vax" lessens symptoms. Don't get me started on the evidence which is pushed.

This whole thing is so convoluted and has been since the beginning. Many in the general public, including myself don't believe the numbers, the data, nor the collection methods of this data. Garbage in, garbage out.

If, and that's a big if, it comes out your (or the media's) statements are true, it should have never been called a vaccine because:

    By definition:

"a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases, prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute, treated to act as an antigen without inducing the disease."

Maybe it could be called a therapeutic? I don't know, but I do know it is not a vaccine.

As stated above, when was the last time you have heard of someone who had standard vaccinations getting whooping cough, polio, diphtheria, tetanus, measles, mumps, Hep B..etc etc.

My experience, I have never met a single person infected with any of the above after receiving vaccination.

The flu shot can also go in the same column as the covid shot. Changes too much every year to have any real effect or reliance on it.

Either way vax or unvaxxed should be everyone's personal decision with no repercussions whatsoever.

    Edited to add:

Totally anecdotal. A person in my office who I sit within 10 feet of, we both got sick on the same day. She is younger than I, double vaxxed.

She was wiped for an entire week, I was "sick" (as I would define it) for a day.

Did the vax make her more sick?

    Did the ivermectin help me?

Did the vitamins I take everyday of the last few years leading up to this help me?

Answer... Nobody Effin knows, and nobody will know for a long time. It's luck of the draw in my opinion.

When I saw my dad with 5+ comorbities beat Covid in a day, at that point I realized none of the information being pedaled is true. And anybody can do great through it, and anybody can also get hammered by it...except of course kids. Seems they just arent affected nearly as much as anybody else.

There's literally  volumes of facts and evidence that supports the fact that being vaxed , more often than not, reduces symptoms. The reality is that there is not a source in the world that you would trust that does anything but confirm your viewpoint.

Most of the people that I know that have the rona now also have had the jab. I hate to derail or sidetrack, but I'm wondering how many people that got the jab and then got the rona honestly believed, at least in the beginning, that it would protect them... I'm sure that opinions changed after the fact and you'd be insane to claim immunity at this point, even the liberal media can't bias that hard... but deep down, and I'm sure most will not admit it, how many were duped into believing that the jab was the savior and would provide immunity like that of measles or chicken pox?

I got jabbed and have no regrets. I never thought it would give me absolute immunity, but definitely think it protected me. Its not even an argument that if nothing else, it more often that not will lessen the symptoms. That said, we should all be able to make our own decision, and not try to act like a know it all, cause at the end of the day NONE of us know for sure.

  6. In the last couple of months, my son (31), wife, and I finally got it. All vaxed. All of us basically felt like we caught a moderate cold. Mild symptoms, slight sore throat, congestion etc. Biggest thing is getting energy back. Trying to workout and surf 2 weeks later is not easy. I don't think any of us will get any more jabs, although none of us regret getting them. Wife gets exposed to Covid patients 3 days a week (which means I do too) and my son and I never took a day off even during the early lockdown, we've traveled to Mex and Costa Rica a few times and we all basically got a mild cold after a couple years. Not looking for an argument, but I can't help but think it helped protect us.

  7. I've had Sirius since the day Howard joined. He's still the only reason I have it even though the show is nothing like it used to be. Its still better than anything else out there. That said, paid Spotify subscriptions are the way to go. Custom playlists, radio stations etc.

Makes about as much sense as tits on a hog...

It doesn't have to make sense to be true. In the last 5 years, I had a CLK Black series, a C63 Black Series, and now my GT3. I sold the CLK for a slight profit after 2 years of fun, the C63 at a slight loss after 2 years ( it has increased massively since I sold it), and my GT3 has gone up about 10k in the last 6 months. Point is, there are a few cars out their that don't lose value as long as you keep the mileage to a reasonable level. In 5 years, my only "loss" with those cars is registration and sales tax, which is why I plan on becoming a "dealer" this coming year....

I had a Turbo S and wanted a 992 GT3 but they are getting 50-100k over msrp. Decided to get something else for now. I’ll get one eventually.

I was quoted 30k from my local dealer and am considering getting the allocation. The spec I would build would be right at 200k, plus the 30k markup, which is not much more than 991.2s are getting with 10k miles. There's a bunch of 992s on the market for about 300k. Reality is that at 230k, you could drive it for a couple years or so and sell it for what you paid.

That GT3 is my dream car (well next to a GT2RS). Nice rides!

Thanks. A GT3 was always my one bucket list car that I'd get one day and it didn't disappoint! I have an aftermarket exhaust on it as well, there's just nothing like the sound of 9000 rpm shifts!

Odd. I saw that best driver who had the fastest car Saturday (pole by 0.3s is significant) get dominated for 55 laps until the Race Director made Something up for the last lap so he could win.

Best driver for the season, not just one race. I disagree with you about the Red Bull being a better car most of the season. The Mercedes was a better package overall. As Max said, if he was driving "that car, the championship would have been decided ages ago". Next season will be a true test of Hamilton speed when Russell joins. Botas was slow as Eff.

Raced for 14 seasons.  I've seen a lot of craziness on the track with people getting pissed (fist fights, tools thrown at cars, door-slamming on the track, pushing into the wall, etc)...  Never saw someone brake check a competitor on track.

You probably never saw a competitor intentionally avoid passing another car before a DRS detection zone either. Hamilton had plenty of room to pass and slowed down himself well before contact. Why didn't he just pass on the left when Verstappen initially slowed? Hamilton knew exactly what he was doing. Surprised so many people buy into Hamilton's BS claims.

  13. Impossible to give educated advice without more info. (pics would help) As already said, you will need to build a temporary wall a few feet inside to support the roof. Could be as easy as removing the header with  new, longer posts under, but its also possible that you have steel posts supporting the  header in which case it would be a bigger job. When you have a large opening like that, structurally, the biggest issue is providing shear value to the wall. ie. steel post with possible grade beam under the slab, Hardy frames, or if you lucky just standard plywood shear paneling. First thing you should do is to remove the drywall at both upper interior corners exposing the post to beam connection and show us what you have. Better yet, see if you can find plans of a similar model that will show how it was built in the first place.

AGREED 100%....... You should not go there. Head home on Sundays and let the rest of us rednecks enjoy what you know is inferior. You certainly look like you have the steak department handled on your end soo leaving the scraps to us common folk would be the best thing to do.

The syphisticado culinary artwork you create looks awesome....I mean, the presentation in itself makes any fellow culinary savant sear with appreciation of the man bun style atmosphere......I'd hate to see you dummy it down with toothpicks and draft beer and flanel shirts.

Sorry guys, I forgot its 2021. Sometimes I forget we have to think about other peoples feelings first. While I must admit, I do miss the days when men could talk a little smack, (or just be honest) without worrying about offending anyone's feelings. This is in fact a site dedicated to a sport that even though is based in California, and was traditionally geared toward men that had a thick skin, it like everything else needs to adapt to todays atmosphere. Yesterdays election results prove that. Again, I apologize. Its high time I accept the fact that to some "men", a blood red Porterhouse loaded with garlic, backed potato, wedge salad, and washed down with a couple Modelos, bring gay thoughts and man buns. Especially to guys that idolize other men that wear makeup.  While I will never subscribe to that way of thinking, I'll do my best not to offend those that have grown a little sensitive in their old age.
