Those aren't accurate comparisons.  The one linked is lower miles, higher trim, 4x4, and NOT been used as a work truck.  Diesel might bring a few more bucks, but the guy that is buying a nearly 200k mile work truck with a service body on it is most likely looking for the cheapest thing going.

His is probably a $20k truck.

  2. To me height/weight statistics are kinda bs.  There are many body types, imo.

    Myself, I'm 5'10, 250, 45yo.  A handful of us have met..

Sure I could lose a few (dropped 20 in the last couple months), but I'm not the big beer belly'd guy.  I eat well, and only drink on the weekends.  My work days are active with between 6-10k steps and maybe 10 flights of stairs in the mix. I don't hit the gym, yet my chest is wider than my hips,  I've somehow carried muscle mass in my legs my whole life(bonus in youth sports, curse as an adult).  My weight has fluctuated throughout my life, yet my legs don't really change much, They're muscle...thighs too.  I'd bet most guys on this board couldn't wrap their hands around my calves with both hands and I haven't hit the calf machine in nearly 30 years....A pant size that fits my waist is nearly guarantied tight on calves.  Dress pants SUCK even more.

Could I starve myself, quit drinking, and train for a marathon to get to 230?  Sure.  F' that miserable life.

My BP is awesome.  My cholesterol is too.  Eat meds just to sleep...ymmv

eta....basically zero soda or fast food.

  3. The company I work for has a few "newer" PSDs (in a variety of years) that they use to tow equipment around the country.  10-12k loads.  The newest one with the 10 speed it reported to get better mileage by a large margin, and is the favorite to tow with.

Interesting topic, Im 56 retired a year and half  ago and since then went on a low dose blood pressure medicine and a statin for cholesterol. My dad died at 50 while running (heart attack) and I truly believe it was due to stress hence my early retirement. I am an avid cyclist (8-12 hrs a week) and work out, should probably stop drinking but its my one e vice. I do stop taking statins before bicycle races because they cause me muscle fatigue but go back on them right after. Lots of guys I compete against do TRT and its benefits are apparent but I simply don't want to stick a needle in myself :blury:.  I tried using Ketones (ketone-IQ) this last Saturday for an endurance gravel race and like most supplements they just spun me up a tad too much so I doubt I'll use it again. For me I have to have events on the calendar to train for, also utilizing strava and other apps to track progress (or lack of it) motivates me and helps me hold myself accountable. I'm 6'2' and 190 lbs, I can over eat or try to starve myself and my weight barley fluctuates as I get older so I don't pay much attention to it, I try to keep muscle tone and energy up instead.

You can get Testosterone in a topical gel too.

  5. I have 3 GA tickets for SATURDAY's event (tomorrow) that were gifted to me.  I have tix for Sunday and feel like two days would be too much....

Free to the first one to respond!   These are hard tickets so you have to pick them up.  16st and Baseline.

Did they auto-charge that, or did you sign up?

I got a "refund" from Discovery a few days ago for the old sub price of $20.xx, then this morning I was charged the new price of $59.xx.  I didn't "agree" to anything, nor have I even logged into MotorTrend in a while.  The Discovery site states they sent out an email about it, but I don't have one.

    That might work!

Prior to welding a nut on,  drill a hole through the center of the bolts like you're going to use an extractor.  This will relieve stress on it.  Allowing room for the bolt to "shrink" inward after it cools from the welding.  It might even be enough to get the bolts to let go..
