there was a local story a few years ago about Mayflower doing that.  they are/were right here in Mira Mar & they were doing it a bunch to the military folks @ Miramar.  they would hold their stuff for ransom until they came up with $1500 or $2500 of "extra fee's", that were not disclosed @ the front end of the move..........  complete BS.......

there are pro's & cons to every state/county when it comes to taxes, the trick is which one is best for me. 

and FWIW, NewScum has made it VERY clear he is coming after prop 13.  IMO, its only a matter of time before that is not a benefit any longer.

@dbart that thing was a bit confusing.............  kind of retro, auto cross, resto-mod, pro-touring, drag race. 

It has a stick & a clutch, retro looking Mag wheels, carb looking EFI deal under a round air filter, big cage but low back seats, full on fuel cell.  big brakes hidden behind the Mags. 

Might have been my favorite car of the show, behind the blue Dodge I saw rolling in while we were walking down there.  Only because Chevy > Dodge > Furd...  LOL.

Sunday my DIL received her masters degree @ SDSU.  It was SUPER cool to go with her family and ours to see it.  we were there for >2 hours & only got to see her walk across the stage for about 10 seconds, but it was SO worth it.  super proud of her (& my son, for the support he has given her).  He is fixin to go back & get his Masters now. 

The Over The Hill Gang had their show at mission bay and there were a bunch of cool cars.  We probably only saw half of them.  

I forgot to mention the orange manx.  Iirx I've seen that buggy on here before.  Super good looking. 

The red 67 Chevelle is a friend of my wife's and I believe the manx is a member here on glamis dunes.  

The cyber truck...... sigh.....  LOL

Damn....  I wonder how many laps dude has at that track.  He sure knew where he wanted to be and where he was in which gear, every single corner of that track.  Sounded awesome!!!

Did all of the house chores yesterday while wife was at her moms.

today mess with the house wifi. Trim the hedge and bottle brush  on the north side, visit gramma, DILs masters degree graduation Sunday, church, shopping, not sure what else.  

Then maybe take a few more degrees of timing out of it.....

True, but in this case...  how much HP does his wife need?  Maybe she needs it all.....  but if he's looking at a V6 as a choice...  I'm guessing form over function wins this time.
