    DONT DO IT!

Get it polished and sealed. You'll thank me later.

Do you know anyone that does this?

My shop garage still gets lots of abuse, and I'd hate to spend the money on a high end epoxy look to have it get hammered and dirty, because then I'd feel like I would need to be cleaning it all the time... and I ain't got time for that lol.

Interesting, seems like this group uses 'em more than anybody else I've spoken too.  Hmmm...

Good point, no idea what they plan for that, so I'll have to look into it!  Gotta be able to plug in a marg/slushy maker!

What is the right weather for a shelf?  Vegas has long stretches that are actually really nice... people don't realize it's not 100+ all year.  In fact, winters are rather cold (so you're right there: wouldn't use the shelf all winter).  Then 3-4 months in summer are prob too hot for the shelf.  So, I guess you're left with 2 months in spring and 2 in fall where you'd use it?  Maybe 1/3rd of the year, prob not worth using up the space...

People always tend to gather around it... some sit on the coping with their legs in the water... some sit on the actual shelf 1/2 your body in the water, while others stand around in the shallow area of the pool.  So anytime we have a pool get together, it turns into the central spot where everyone gathers.  Ours just has an umbrella, no chairs.

The original renderings for the pool had a baja/beach entrance.  I then spoke to lots of friends that have them, and hung out at my buddy's place who just got a pool with one a few times.  The consensus was always: we never use it, ever.  If you have young kids, or water dogs, it's a "maybe" but everybody I spoke to never uses theirs.  It's kinda one of those sounds good in theory, but you never end up using it once the initial excitement wears off (just like a brick pizza oven in your outdoor kitchen).  To do one, we'd have to ditch the little swim-up bar area (which is how the initial drawings were).  Hanging out in other pools, it seems like everybody ends up at the edge of the pool before long with a drink talking w/ the ppl not in the pool or whatnot, so we decided we wanted that setup more than the baja step.

I thought about trying to work something out where we can have all of the things, but it just gets too busy/crowded.  The pool is at 18x40' right now (the main rectangle) so we could shorten it up about 5' and make room for the baja... but that seems like the wrong trade-off to me.

I hope @dbart doesn't think I'm coming for his job with my sick-ass renderings, but something like this:

It's def not out of the question, but I'm not sure it's the right move for us, hmmmm...

Baja shelves are a must for us... we get a ton of use out of ours.... both adults and kids.

"Those" people are busy just getting by, voting is not important to them. This graphic is pretty spot on year after year of who is really voting in America.

Info from a 2008 presidential election differs significantly from a 2021 California election.  CA has a large Hispanic population compared to most states, and with that comes a higher level of illegal/undocumented/dreamer...... whatever you want to call it.

Illegals are not out voting  ....why is that such a boogeyman to folks come voting time.

The Recall didn't go thru...which sucks donkey slong.....but blame "America" as a whole.

Voter Apathy is the number 1 cause every election, then all the other bs.

With no ID required to vote.... how can you be so sure?

With all the tech we have these days... it is a joke that we still vote with scantrons and no ID requirement.  You need an ID card to get a damn library card.

This was my last glimmer of hope for CA.  I voted for Meg Whitman, John Cox, Elder, etc.  Unfortunately, the best option IMO is to leave CA.....  I don't know a single person that voted 'NO' on the recall...... If you look at the voting county by county, there must be areas of silicon valley and so ca where EVERY SINGLE VOTER us democrat.  Mathematically, I cannot wrap my head around the huge loss.......   😞

agreed! we're gonna streamline our plan to GTFO of here.

Republicans' showing up to vote only to find out they already had?

    Dominion voting machines being used?

Hundreds if not 1000's of mail in ballots stolen.

CA sending ballots out of state - my friend who left 2 years ago got one mailed to him in Tennessee.

The Prez & VP campaigning for him - aren't there more pressing issues going on?

I want him out but I'll be surprised if it happens!

I'll be surprised as well... but we all know what's really going on here!!!

I've had 2 Newmars ('17 Dutch Star 4018 and current '19 Mountain Aire 4018) and the materials, quality, etc. are much better than the competing coaches (IMHO).  There are a lot of Newells and Prevosts at the RV park we own a spot in and obviously they're on another level, but my mid-level Newmars are closer to them than all the typical Fleetwood/Thor/etc. stuff are to the Newmars.  Don't get me wrong, we've had our problems with them (the Dutch Star we got new, so we had our share of "new coach" problems) but overall I really love the Newmars.  Also, without going Newell, you just can't get Comfort Drive in anything else, and it's worth it IMHO.  Feel free to hit me up when you end up Newmar shopping...

Yeah I remember when you were selling your DS.... I badly wanted one of those...

I'm shopping now, just can't find anything that checks all the boxes now.  What did you sell that 17 for? they are probably going for the same price today......crazy market.
