Havoc Infinity for the win! Yes, get the magnet style. easy to clean the inside of the lens. Also nice to be able to switch lens colors.

I carry 3 sets of lenses, day, sunset, and night  - magnetic and simple, and no sand  - best I ever used

I bought the mount from Axia Alloys that attaches to the ladder. https://axiaalloys.com/product/starlink-rv-ladder-tubing-mount-dishy/

Thanks  I sent this mount link to a couple buddies from our crew I am getting sick of looking at them sitting on tables all over camp - because after all like a boat... the best Starlink is your buiddies Starlink  - all the bene' s none of the cost.... I am really surprised how well they work  across camp.

  4. I have been using the Lock and Lube Pistol grip  - its really nice and still dirty like all grease guns - but its light and easy to hold and it mostly always stays on.

I have been looking at going electric - when I have air ready I  am still using Pnuematic  its smaller and lighter than the electric from what I have seen - they seem clumsy and huge ?

Who are you to set job rate prices in other areas, but also you adjusting and talking about shop rates i think breaks anitrust and price fixing laws, not a good topic to have on a site that can not be edited over time,

There are no laws against discussing or setting rates ...There are organizations and franchises in every industry that determine costs and set prices.  But they do n ot control "supply"  Since this "group" does not control the distribution of goods or services  - its all good.

The robinson-patman  act regulations control price fixing, but this is not part of that

  6. it's a very interesting situation that seems to be mirroring what happened in many SA and some European countries.  (its 3rd world now) I hope somehow we turn out better.

But you have to cover costs and make a profit  - but its amazing how fast the change has occurred. What @Sausage450r said about consumables hit me earlier this year. Cannot quote anything and stand on price for even 15 days anymore. And it true for welding, electric work, fuel systems, and of course electronics.

I went back to a 2019 LS build that was identical to a quote I did last month, its has gone up almost 40% and all the consumables are 20-30% up. How does it happen so fast?

    In SA countries -

Runaway costs led to significant drop off in car and truck ownership which lead to many places closing (dealers and repair which led to serious unemployment.. and the spiral

This country always had more natural resources, high skilled labor, reasonable housing and VERY low food costs. All that is changing rapidly. Unless something reverses that we are headed down a bad path. I am afraid we cannot reverse cost  and like those places it looked like it all was good until one day it was over...

    Happy New Year  ... (sarcasm)

  7. Safelite did my Viper Coupe... I insisted on OEM glass ..Leaked on first wash - they resealed and ruined the OEM glass and only would replace it with non- factory.  I ended up paying the dealer to replace it.   Not the best experience, however on the Chevy truck it was fine, out and in in less than an hour - no issues - so go figure ,,,

Whelp...  as it turns out, I am able to break an anvil... LOL

There is a hole in the barrel of the wheel, where the center section is welded to it.

$70 later dicount had it replaced.  Makes me wonder if my other phantom Goodyear issues are not 30 year old wheel issues....

Thats way more typical than you think on trailer wheels on heavy rigs I have had a few myself, - the leaK drove me crazy figuring it out the first, well - thats until the wheel pulled a 2" chunk out and it went immediately flat and wobbled like a drunken Duner .  The wheel that on the other axle did not leak, but it looked like this  - Likely it would have completely come apart in a few miles - I was lucky I checked all of them ...

I  hope this pic shows how it pulled away - the other wheel just cracked at the weld

  9. My judgement has changed lately...

Just lost 2 friends in the last 60 days, one 45 and one 50 - I doubt they are glad they died with a lot of money in the bank, granted they had substantial life insurance policies, so no one is in debt over their passing.

Enjoy life while you are young and still have time to save up for retirement afterward assuming you make it

  10. None of these are being designed for longevity, more gadgets form over function   - they are disposable. Go check it out EV's have relaxed regulations on parts availability requirements. Although many of the aftermarket players like Bosch are making huge moves to support EV drivetrain parts. I was surprised that NGK was the largest manufacturer of EV components but only for the big players it will be interesting to see if the newcomers are supported

And the game changes in 2025 when the moratorium against Chinese EV's runs out - estimates are 50 of 70 brands of Chinese EV's will flood the US , cars, trucks, SUVs and they look alike like Teslas and other familiar EVs. The Chinese are buying up Stealerships all over the us right now

    Interesting times ahead
