Who are you and where's the @DZRTRUNI've known for years that does engine swaps and on board air installs in Glamis, while drunk, with a bunch of drunk supervision?

My buddy just had his car done for S5D and it was pricey to do. Bill don't cut that car up, it has been perfect for the last 3+ seasons.
I am going to leave it alone. That 2d owes me nothing. If I could find a Fortin 4 speed sequential I would consider it because it’s an easy direct swap. I would keep the 930’s with the Fortin stars and cages. That would keep the balance of the car the same and not chop it up. If I don’t find one before the 2d gets back I will just throw it back in and run it until I decide to upgrade to another Gen 6.

Bill,
That looks like not that much more work considering where you are at right now........ a little snip and some mask off and touch up with some white paint & some automotive 2 part clear and you have an S4.
Jeff @L.R.S. already comitted and said he would buy the 2D for Balin for ABSOLUTE TOP $$$$ to you soo IMHO.....you can't lose.
All joking aside...........My 2cents............you love the car......you said its a perfect car......why not just do the small modification a / touch it up perfect (like we all know you will) and have the peace of mind of the S4 !!!!
Something to consider!...(way easier than buying and selling for a new one)
Because I am dumb and make everything difficult. If I go that far it will get new rear 934 arms. Halfway through I will get drunk and decide it needs a custom aluminum body and a radius roof. Then I will get drunker and decide it needs the new front arms and 3.0 shocks. It’s best we leave Pandora’s box close.

so Kevin does fab work get that S4 installed.
I know, but cutting up this basically perfect car is just not something I am willing to do. It would be cool to make it more perfect but there comes a point that you sell it and buy a S4 car if that’s what you want. This car has 3 hard seasons on it and the 2d just started growling at me. I just know this question comes up a lot so I figured I would put the answer here.

I have the 2d out of my Gen 4 for service and I brought home a S4 mock up from McMullen out here in Phoenix. This Gen 4 is an original V8 2d 930 car and I wanted to see if the S would fit. Here is a photo of why it doesn’t fit basically the back tube would have to be cut out of the car. I am not sure what the difference between this car and an original S4 car is but they are different. If that tube wasn’t there. The S would literally bolt into the car. Hopefully someone finds this helpful.

Do you miss the Hustler?
I do, I loved that car. Simple, light and handled amazing. A little rough in the chop but other than that it was perfect.

I searched and didn't find anything. Just wondering what pressures you guys run in your bags- I recently added onboard air and made some changes to where the motor and trans was mounted. Taking it out this weekend for the first time since the changes which got me thinking- what pressures do you all run and what is your set up? Also looking for input on dialing in the rebound and compression settings. I plan on giving Grant a call to get his input but just wanted to check on here as well.
I have a gen 4 Funco, S4, LS3 with LSA Supercharger
In a gen 4 with that setup I would run 40-45 in the front and 55-60 in the back.

I have a pair you can have sitting in Ramona but I am in Glamis this weekend. One tire will get you through the season and one will get you through the weekend.

I have the fully loaded Model 3 performance from Tesla and I love it. It is not the cheapest by any means but it is Ferrari fast and super fun to drive. It does 0-60 in 2.9 seconds. It claims about 310 miles on a full Charge but I drive 80-90 everywhere so I usually get about 250 ish on a full charge. Also, it’s really hard not to full throttle the thing just playing around. I also have full self driving which I am learning to trust. If you have a 50 amp plug the car will go from nothing to fully charged by morning. A 50 amp outlet plug charges 30 miles per hour of charge. A 30 amp plug gets about 20. If you go with the Tesla you would be able to drive to your shop and back without using any fuel. Also, if you have solar and you add a panel or two it could cost you nothing. They have a 40k model it’s just not as fun.

We will be there 16-22. I am not sure if we are bringing buggies. Our plan right now is to do a lot of side by side riding. We are also doing moab and jackson hole camping. We also rented a cabin in yellow stone and plan on riding from Idaho dunes rv to the cabin.

Heads are Looking good!
I am still amazed how many factory pieces are still used to make that much HP.
I am just finishing a new LS, granted it should make more HP, but to keep it dead reliable, the the only factory pieces are the rockers arms and they are modified ...
It says something about the strength and design of the Subi, even my old 500HP 2.5 had a closed deck and that was about it, and its got 10 seasons on it
10 seasons!? I couldn’t get more than 2 out of closed deck Subaru. We ran the car between 20 and 25 psi of boost constant though. What kind of boost were you running to get 10 seasons?

Down town / little Italy will be closest but I would recommend hotel circle if you have a trailer.

I go from Phoenix to San Diego almost weekly. If you can get it to me in surprise I can probably get it up to John’s house fairly easy if that works.

That’s legal and a smart tactic. Republicans could do the same and it would throw the far left completely off. The party line politic crap at least on the right is dying and it should. I myself have morphed more into a libertarian than a Republican. I typically vote Republican but I don’t follow the line anymore. I don’t support going to war under most circumstances. We have sent our kids to die in crappy countries over our national interests aka money for far to long now. If you are sitting there thinking we should be involved in Ukraine right now because some talking head George Bush clown told you so, you might be part of the problem. I voted for Trump and would again. He is not a Republican, he is a populist. He supports law and order. He supports Gay marriage. He supports the the first and second amendment. He supported the second chance act. Most of all he was anti war but, our enemies knew that if they attacked us he would strike very hard and very fast. On the flip side Joe Biden has been so incompetent that he is going to more than likely hand both houses back to Republicans. The Bush Republican Party is dying and it needs too. We have a great opportunity to make the Republican Party into the party that actually stands for our citizens and for the constitution. Rant over

Have you ever seen the hv24 next to a 2d? The HV is huge. I would go with a sequential for resale value. The easiest trans swap for you is the Fortin 4 speed sequential. We swapped one into a predator with just spacers.

I have a 5 speed Albins I would consider selling. it has about 50 miles on it. Still in the car so can be tested etc. 25k I would let it go.
If it’s a sequential 11.5 inch ring and pinion I am interested if he is not.

Look at that little gem. I wonder where that was hiding. I would have bought that in two seconds. When you are ready for more power Gary at C&G still does the full closed deck deals on those motors. That motor at 20 psi was one of the funnest I have ever driven.
