  1. I triee to file a claim last year like this. As mentioned above. Unless there is an actual "event", your pretty much screwed. I have started farm.

Now my trailer tire blow out.. they covered that and the damage from that.

  2. I think sometimes they hard wire them to your electrical via a GFCI run. Usually your garage or outdoor GFCI. When it pops, the battery kicks in. Then once it dies its last breath is at midnight to wake you up.

I had this happen. I ended up pulling most of mine down. Then put one or two back with a battery. Now I try and check my GGCI more consistently.  It's also connected to my meat freezer. Which I have a temp sensor in.

  3. Spent the morning getting the rhino ready to sell.

Finished the afternoon washing the salt off the sailboat sails from spending last weekend in rocky point. Also mowed the lawn.

As always everything takes longer than I had hoped. Need to shower and start thinking dinner. Wife probably roped me into help picking up groceries.

  4. Figured since we have many other topics with pics, why not have a flag one.

I know @ANGRYBUTTCRACK spread the love in his neighborhood.  I sure miss when the boy scouts would put the flags out each special morning.

I ended up picking up one when they stopped. I get reminded by the older British woman who puts out her flag religiously. I'm pretty impressed and she puts me to shame.

    Here is hers and mine.

    Show me yours!

  5. This might be up your alley.

On the 7.3 f350, are you talking the older diesel or newer gaser?

I have a 2006 33' Thor vortex.  Had a 2011 f250 shortbed with the BW companion that mounted to their gooseneck turnover ball system. The BW companion was fully adjustable so I could adjust height and back. I ended up back all the way and mid height.

Recently upgraded trucks that has the puck system.  Had to get a different BW. It didn't have as many adjustments. Only pulled trailer around town but seems to clear just fine.

I toyed with sliders.. but didn't like setups or complexity that seemd to go with them. I looked also at gooseneck to pintle setups. I didn't like that either. Have a buddy that loves this setup with his 40' WW.

  6. Really wish Spitz would bring back the sea salt Carmel.  They discontinued it years ago but it was the best.

I keep looking at gas stations hoping that it's brought back. But no luck...

Just got an email from HR, I now qualify for unlimited vacation, I don't accrue vacation anymore.  Paid all of the time :classic_biggrin:

Companies are getting tired of paying out weeks of vacations when people leave their job. Hence the spin it to give unlimited vacation. Never could wrap my head around going over what industry standard is...  felt like I would be put to the front of the fire list.. if/when things slow down.

  8. Company gave us the 4th Tuesdsy and the 5th Wednesday off.  We made our plans to go to Huntington the back half of the week.  Then about a month ago said they meant Monday and Tuesday off. I just told my boss that I'll be working Monday and taking the off day on Wednesday.

Can you possibly ask him what was wrong on his. I think mine might be similar.

Sorry to hear your still chasing the oil leak.

It was leaking from the turbo oil feed line fitting into the valley,  which drains out the back and down the block.

I think there are a couple locations from where oil can leak into the valley, so that can be a little more troublesome to find exactly.

    Good luck.

We canceled our trip to Cancun, not worth the saving of money to be on the beach where so many random killings happen...

Just got back from my 1st trip to cancun. We stayed in the hotel zone. I felt very secure and walked to the OXXO for bfast every morning. Went on a couple excursions. On the beach and in the resort was constant security including police walking driving the beach.

I will say gringos were the minority.  Somewhat disappointed with the lack of English speaking front desk people. Luckily I speak enough Spanish to get but I just don't understand it as well as I used too.

We went to cabo last year. Felt more American there. But maybe ust the spots we were at.

We do rocky point a couple times a year.

From reading about this event is was cartel rivals gunning each other down.

A case of mistaken identity did happen earlier this year along the Texas border but the cartel self corrected and turned those 3 clowns over.

All in all, don't go with stupid people and you will be fine. If you don't feel safe then stay state side. But I'd talk to a feel people versus watching the news/Instagram before making a decision.

PS. I do want to tag along on a baja ride some year as I have no idea where to start.. and I want to try taco al pastor or carmellos.

Our baby has her 18th bday today so heading to Texas roadhouse in a bit.  Was disappointed in the cancun hotel food, so looking forward to a solid meal.

Thank you. Sounds like I need to consider selling the truck as is. Not sure I want to sink 5k into it as I'm around 260k on the ODO

Does it leak more when towing? That is usually when it's noticeable.  My BIL thought his went bad only to find out that it was something up in the valley. I'd look to see if you have oil in the valley. Then you might be lucky.

On a side note. The new 10 speeds are nice....

  13. My son is a ford tech. It's the upper pan gasket. IE  your screwed. Tranny has to come out. Lower pan and upper pan. Cab usually stays on. It's a 5k job easily.  He almost won't do them on the side as they suck that much.
