The only way you can do anything that makes any difference is by taking over local school boards, city councils, county seats and water districts. The war is lost, shoring up your local area against the onslaught of state governance is the last resort in the eventual downfall.

@Cookie posted before about how important local elections are....just as or more important than national elections IMO. The problem is, local elections have poor turnout and this is where the leftist activist get their foot in the door and start poisoning the system with their ideology. This is why Soros is spending huge sums for candidates at the local level, and it's an effective strategy. With a little research you can easily get background info on local candidates, it doesn't take much effort thanks to the google machine. You would probably be surprised when you learn more about these freaks that are running in local elections!

  2. It's not the candidates, it's the ignorant electorate that is the problem. And that's not just in CA. I actually believe our electorate here in the Republic of Antifa are even more ignorant than those south of us. Measure 110 (decriminalizing of illegal drugs) is a prime example. The voters realized that the measure increased overdoses and failed to deal with addiction problem (made it worse,DUH!) and the leftist here figured out a way to repeal the law while raising taxes again (initial measure allowed new taxes to implement) to support the repeal that does NOTHING to change the initial measure! Effing insanity with voter support!

So funny, been thinking the same thing - went from El Nino for 3 or 4 years, to the new term of Atmospheric river.

Up here they were called "Chinooks", then "Pineapple Express", and now "Atmospheric river". I'm sure the next name will be something like "Existential Atmospheric Tsunami".

It's similar to the term the media picked up on, "Bomb Cyclone". It was a term used for decades to describe a barometric pressure difference that normally occurs over open oceans and doesn't always relate to extreme weather. But it sounded good on tv.

And lastly, because I have been shouting from an apple box or a rooftop, no one has listened or seemed to give a damn, so, "You reap what you sow, and so do your children". No one is entitled to anything. You have a choice to work, a choice to stay off drugs, a choice to make something of yourself. I have nothing to do with your choice. That's all on you. You are entitled to what you earn.

    PEACE

I have read your entire post a few times and you nailed it!

As for the part I quoted above, I read this short article a while back and thought it was relevant to your point: https://www.foxbusiness.com/personal-finance/kids-inevitably-grow-up-spoiled-family-well-off

I own a Tire Shop and I NEVER rotate. I suck. And my TPMS light has been on for 2 years. LoL

Common thing....You own an auto repair shop, you don't feel like working on your own cars.....you own a pizza shop, you don't want pizza for dinner.....etc. That's why I never opened a brothel!

There is your lying media at work. Not one ounce of this story was true its all 180* of what they state according to the govt investigation final report.

what we need to know now is WHO is telling the cdc and fbi to stand down and why? Is this linked to our stand down on our border? There are no coincidences in life, this is too much to be completely accidental. This is planned. Biden should have to answer questions we need to demand it

I noticed the AP story had no mention of Jiabei “Jesse” Zhu, the person listed as the owner of the lab in other news accounts, nor his past legal problems and links to the PRC.

The AP has come under scrutiny lately due to it's accepting of funding from left wing sources which has influenced it's reporting IIRC?

Sorry for getting off topic, this discussion should probably be held in the politically correct forum.

I've been following this since it was discovered and amazed at the lack of interest by the feds and MSM! We are heading down a dark path.

Back on topic, I learned there are some kids that have a good work ethic. My neighbors 11 yr old son came over and shoveled snow off my driveway without asking. I gave him $10 that he tried to refuse and let him use my snow shovel (he was using a regular square point). Good kids with good parents. And yes, they are off road folks, the kids compete in MX!

  8. We finally are seeing the sun today for the first time in several days. Supposed to warm up into the mid 20's today. Forecast is for freezing rain  tomorrow.

  9. Don't let it bother you which knife it was, you know it was a high end one! :classic_cool:

Before I retired my office was near Benchmade's HQ/factory, I could see it out my window. They gave our employees 50% off their knives. I would buy knives for retirees in our dept and Benchmade would custom engrave them for us. Great knives and great people to deal with.

Is the C8 as close to the door as it looks?

Yep, probably an 1", so about a RCH. It has a front camera and I have a reference point on the floor I use to park close to the door so I have plenty of room in the back to get around and get in the garage fridge easily.

It freaks my buddies out when I park and close the garage door. They all yell the door is going to hit the car, I just chuckle every time. That thing on the wall to the right of the fridge is a radar sensor for the wifes Acura and it's accurate and can get close to the door but a safe inch or two back from it.

  11. I installed the Racedeck flooring yesterday with the help of some buddies. I like how it turned out and it does make a slight clacking noise but not annoying at all. One thing I noticed is the floor doesn't feel nearly as cold as bare concrete, it's been cold up here.

  12. I just went on the RMATV site to get set up for my A1 picks and noticed there are 2  "just for fun" groups. It looks like the "Just For Fun!" group (with the exclamation point) is the one most are joining. The other one has only 4 members.

Just  a heads up, it looks like the one with an exclamation point is the GD.com group
