My coffee brewing was a result of working with a retired Command Master Chief. If we made coffee that wasn't opaque, he'd come into the morning meeting and ask:
Which one of you faggots made the God damned tea?

But you did solve that problem. You haven't driven them in that car lately...
Amusingly, I've had to dodge waaaay more accidents in this grey anonybox since it's so forgettable the human mind filters it into the background and people make lane changes into me...

Costco or Folgers.
Place in electric coffee maker with new filter 2/3rds of the way up.
Fill reservoir with water from lightly rinsed coffee pot from the day before.
Press "brew"
Wait.
Drink.
Taste? Tastes like I'm not gonna fall into the machinery today.

Awesome stuff. I got to ride in a Geiser brother trophy truck through some big whoops like that. I remember thinking my Mendi 2D would be broken about 5 seconds.
How’s the ride feel over stuff like that? Feel nothing, or just uncomfortable but controlled?

There was a video on YT of a trophy truck doing what looked like 100mph on a pole line road when it hit a whoop and flipped end over end a few times. Then it landed on it's wheels, engine running, the driver asked the co-driver if he was OK and they took off again! There was footage shot from inside the cab and outside from the driver's side. I love that video, but I can't seem to be able to find it any more. Does anyone remember seeing it?

I remember that too. Was it in National City or South Bay somewhere? Playing hide & Seek with my brother and sister.
That song still pops in my head regularly.
Nasty City? Dunno, just remember continually being scolded for hide and seek getting out of hand...

Another Note: We built a basic home recently. It's in a different neighborhood. Small 1670 sq ft 3-2-2 home. Postal Service says all new structures have to have a mailbox installed. Problem: The postal person parks his truck and walks the mail to the small boxes mounted at the front doors of every home in this neighborhood. Notice NO MAILBOXES anywhere on the street? Sometimes people think way too much! Peace
You're robbing someone of the opportunity to get shot stealing ON your property instead of next to it.

At the family beach condos that my (now deceased) grandparents purchased in 1969 (when they were built) in Carpinteria, CA.
We have 2 in the family trust. Been coming here for my whole life, almost 50 years.
My 15 year old, the puppy and I came up Thursday and my wife, long time friend and her 12 year old boy came up yesterday.
Great weather, food and atmosphere.
As usual, feeling blessed.

I remember spending hours at Carpeteria as a kid while my parents hemmed and hawed on over whether to get the premium pile with stainguard or not...

9/11 brought about Security Theatre at the airports. When DHS has undercover agents try smuggling weapons on board, 70% make it through.
COVID-19 will bring about Virology Theatre. Wear your masks people. It's for your protection

Rec league sports is a great way to exercise and stay motivated. Competition makes you forget how much it sucks, and the skipping a day because you don't want to results in at least 5 calls from pissed off teammates.
Either way, find something fun and you won't think about how much work it is.

@Dunerking why do you need trucks to fill? Can't use domestic water?
Or is it special "lighter than air" water that stays in an upside down pool? 😁
Probably has super-domestic water: his own well.

How long do you think we'll have this level of tracking and "vigilance"?
Rhetorical question. Since we still track "Terror Levels" after it morphed into a new command...

If there's anything Gov't employees like to do, it's a job. Forever. The question of whether or not it's still needed is unimportant.

All of that has to be a Texas thing. Any idea why? Is the dirt that unstable. We build airplane hangers and 100,000 Sq. foot tilt up buildings with less steel and internal footings
It rains a lot in Texas...
Then droughts a lot in Texas.
It gets hot in Texas...
Then gets freezing arse cold in Texas.
Texas has lots of clay, which expands/contracts more in the above conditions. Deep piers like that make it so the foundation rides on deeper soil that won't experience as many problems with cycling.

Any undetectable way to game it so the results are skewed in our favor (assumption is more pollution)…?
