Some of us ride further than beer stop to beer stop and some actually use the skinny pedal more. A loop from the dirty nasty low rent washes down to Duners Diner, a rip around Buttercup and stop by the old rope swing under I-8 and back to home base will leave you out of fuel on the run back.
Did that ride last trip out, and towed a Baja Bug that had total electrical failure with the wife’s X3. Extra fuel was brought down via truck for the E85 and V8 buggies.

We camped in our usual spot, found plenty of virgin sand if you know where to look, even on Saturday afternoon. It seems the latest generation of duners use GPS to go from destination to destination, almost like a flat road beat through the dunes from each of the popular spots. Burned 90 gallons of fuel between Tuesday and Saturday in our cars.
I call those tracks SxS breadcrumbs. You don't even need GPS anymore, just find a straight line through the dunes with nothing but chatterbumps and whoops, turn right or left. Either Olds or the Swingset is on the other end.

Yep, probably an 1", so about a RCH. It has a front camera and I have a reference point on the floor I use to park close to the door so I have plenty of room in the back to get around and get in the garage fridge easily.
It freaks my buddies out when I park and close the garage door. They all yell the door is going to hit the car, I just chuckle every time. That thing on the wall to the right of the fridge is a radar sensor for the wifes Acura and it's accurate and can get close to the door but a safe inch or two back from it.
I used to keep my detail cart behind my car. Had to pull it forward a little to get it out…
Forgot to put the car back after putting it away. Luckily, it cleared by about 1/2”. Yeeeeeesh

Is the C8 as close to the door as it looks?

It’s a free for all. For better or worse.
Would it be better for there to be designated sides? Maybe. Problem is you’d have to inform EVERYONE and also get cooperation, which would only come via force.
Enter at your own risk and look before you leap.

We were guilty of this twice…
Mainly because guys kept breaking chit at the bottom of a bowl near crowded areas (Olds and between Sunset and Osbourne).
We always make sure to put a vehicle up high on the approaches so no one is surprised.
There was one group I came across that was just downhill of a ridge near Osbourne. Not exactly the best spot to hang out…

Large defense contractor here. We are definitely seeing people come back to work more than in the past few years. Although some of our smaller locations are still struggling to find people. Overall I am forecasting 10%-15% lower revenue year over year. Although I wouldn’t really consider it a slowdown. 2023 was our biggest year ever so more like things just normalizing.
I’m seeing a similar slowdown in revenue, but that’s mainly due to a delay on a large job I have. The rest are on par from ‘22 and ‘23

I'm assuming its your daughter? Be careful passing her off to the instructor. You or your wife riding along would be ideal. Those situations are taylor made for a weirdo to use manipulation on your kid. I was sent to a company called drivetime. I didn't pick up on it at first but the instructor was a weirdo. He suggested we swing by his place so he could open up his windows. I stayed in the car after he asked if I needed to use his bathroom and I declined. Thinking back on it, it could have been a very bad ending. Students want to be on their best behavior to make the instructor happy and a pedophile would gravitate to those situations.
Wife had something similar back in the day. She did the same….

Defense contractor. Usually pretty steady, but can always tell something’s up because I have a lot more people applying. Right now, getting easier to find employees when it was insanity to find anyone who could fog a mirror for the last 3 years.

This.
Well, the fact that lighting sucks when the door is open. I ended up hanging some LED 4’ jobs just above the windows in the door when it’s opened, and 4 more along its edge just above the track.

Most likely not a woman since it is a full size truck...Not Asian since it is a full size truck!
I'd say it is a Bud Light drinking Mall Crawler that wonders around REI and fills up a cart to look cool then casually sets it aside and buys nothing and walks out with puffy chest and pulls out the Giganto Vape with Monster sticker on it
Hey, my wife drives a truck just like that (not that truck, mind), which I also drive a lot.

At this point I would wait till the Elusive Douche came out!
And be like...Really
WTF???? and then hear the whiny douche offer up big cuss words and spit out things like his dad can beat up my dad and such!
Let's be honest...
Either its a woman, and none of that is happening.
Or he's Asian, and he and his dad know karate and definitely can kick your dad's ass.

Only real thing to look at on a 2014 is the intake ports will eventually clog up since there isn't port injection to clean the chit out. 6 speeds are stout. Cam phasers might be a problem (it will rattle on cold start when they start to die).

What about a 1/2 gallon or so tank off to the side? Doesn’t need much, just enough to survive the slosh.
Same. Closures ruined that whole area. The dunes that are open are nearly as tore up as the ones between Wash 6 and Olds
