All you need now is 9 sandcars going to idaho, and 9 sandcars going home,

The cheapest for me was one year i had a freind drive up two cars, Gave him room and board food cocaine and hookers,  and paid for the fuel up,

fuel for his truck there and back was, about $1000.00   forgot what the rest cost me,

Hopefully you imported the hookers & blow, our domestic hookers are built like bowling pins & the blow tastes like garage dust (from what I’ve heard).

Side Bar..............  I LOVE that thing.  SO cool!!!!

That’s the Fun Farm Bridge, about 2 miles above my place. It’s common to get floaters down stream from there, popular place for folks to jump into the river, some don’t come up.

It’s very scary how one can walk away and one can’t.

Sorry. I didn’t mean to turn this into a “Debbie Downer” thread.

Was fortunate enough to do my stint without anyone actively trying to kill me, closest I came to being shot was a few yahoos acting up at the range…

It’s awesome you survived long enough to see the respect, admiration and regret for how our soldiers were treated.

Ice caves were a little creepy for me when it got to the point where you had to crawl on your belly to get to the next opening. Reminded me too much of Vietnam.

You’d love it now, us locals have been digging holes with poop covered punji sticks and planting boobytrapped jugs of Idaho Gold Whiskey to stem the tide of invading round eyes…

I was in DC on business and went to the Vietnam Memorial Wall, I couldn’t go on after 20 steps, totally lost it…

    Looks like July Creek…

  6. Alper is spot on.

End of July / August Temps are mid *80s to low *90s with overnight lows in the mid *50s

Early afternoon weather cells are common, short bursts of heavy rain and wind gusts, awnings should be put in prior to going on a ride.

Electric bikes / river rafts can be rented in Saint Anthony & 91 non-ethanol gas is  available @ Dusty’s gas station (also our liquor store but only beer on Sundays).

Pioneer day parade is on the 24th, there is also a demolition derby & rodeo at the fairgrounds by the airport.

If you’re looking for decent white water rafting the Hoback River out of Jackson is a good bet, if I go commercial rafting it I use Mad River Rafting.

Closer to the dunes (roughly one hour away) is the put-in for the Warm River, the float is roughly an hour and 45 minutes with no beer / BS sessions. The biggest rapid, if you can call it that is about a foot high, very family friendly.
Big J’s in Saint Anthony does alright on pizza & the Mexican restaurant in town does well on street tacos.

The Star Bar in Saint Anthony is now set up to take credit cards, Anytime Fitness is also on the main drag for those wishing to eff up a good vacation by working out.

There are lava rocks out in the dunes, mostly on tight trails that cut through sage brush. It’s common for people to wreck trying to avoid them. Best bet is to just take your medicine and go through them with just enough power to keep your momentum if you get surprised.

Egin Ponds are a nice place to chill & let the kids splash around, deepest part is maybe 4’ but you’re likely to have to pull some leaches off the rug rats when done swimming. Also, the pond area is the most patrolled area in the dunes, behave yourself.

Your dune rigs will run warmer than you’re probably used to, Water Wetter or other super coolant helps.

It’s not uncommon to see a moose or the occasional elk if you get up early and run the Northwest edge of the dunes.

Don’t hate the playa, hate the game.

  8. Awesome end of the season ride yesterday!

Like any seasonal activity it’s important to start / end the season dialed in. For snow machines especially treating the gas is a must. We make sure to run at least 1/2 a tank of treated gas (Lucas & gas stabilizer) through the machines.

We saw some signs of the elk moving to higher ground as the snow is melting. The elk migrate to the lower desert / sand dunes from the high country (Yellowstone) in the winter then work their way back up following the melting snow.

Here’s a video that kind of sorta shows where we were at, didn’t run into anyone else the whole day.

Good advice. I want something that I can do moderate (at most) trails. I'd like to take it with me to Prescott. Lots of dirt up there, close to the house. I plan on going to a bike shop too.

A trike with a huge grocery basket containing matching Pugs seems like the ticket. I’m visualizing you sporting a derby hat with your chain side pant leg tucked into your sock..,

I'm on this same road. I'll have to write on the laptop because on my phone it will be gibberish...more then my normal...haha

I did drop from 330 lbs to 275, but creeping back to 295 at the moment.

I hate how my body felt and how crappy it feels to even gain a few back.

Find what works and keep at it.

    I’d hit it…

  11. 61, drink like a fish, dip of Grizzly Chew in my beak during waking hours.

I work out at least 4 times a week, eat dinner before 6pm, Sauna sweat session two times a week.

Any meaningful improvement in your overall wellbeing will start with getting your testosterone levels where they need to be. Trying to make changes with low T levels is like trying to run a 10 minute mile in water.

  12. Warning, I got squared away and still shot like shiat, hard to blame it on 13 scopes and 9 iron sights being off.

If you get dialed in don’t tell your friends / shooting buddies about your new glasses / contacts, keep the excuse of “can’t see shiat” / “damn bulk ammo” and “my Korean azz AIDS are acting up”in your back pocket!
