Ok, so that was a bummer!
1st of all....Daytona I thought was gonna be the turning point for Tomac, but a 2nd is still good (As long as Jett doesn't win)
But the wonder kid gets the win.
So Tomac needs a win in Alabama...heat race win was ok, but 1 more lap and Jett would have had him.
Main comes and WTF happened? Ugh!
Frustrating for sure and it seems no one else has an answer either!
My only hope is that Tomac just keeps getting better and can be a contender outdoors???

Wasn't super crowded but was nice to see a turnout.

Never met the guy, but Dent Puller is a cool name...and if he's a Stud Welder, that's awesome!

Dang it...Eli needed to win. The last 2 laps after he passed Chase...he started to gain but it was already over at that point.
6 point swing went the wrong direction.
That track looked brutal in the wet.
It's interesting Eli is getting better and getting 2nd place.
He did not look comfortable out there...his heat race was kind of ugly.
Roczen looked awesome in his heat and thought he'd be more in the fight.
James Stewart needs to stay in the booth...boot Carmichael.

Anyone watch Bubba's World podcast with James Stewart?
I love it...I wish they'd take out Carmichael and put in James for commentator.
(278) Bubba's World w/ James Stewart - YouTube
He can articulate exactly what's going on, what the rider was most likely thinking in a given situation, what the bike is doing, etc...plus he's pretty damn funny too.

I appreciate all the feedback. I have an employee who has worked for me for over 10 years. He does quality work, but he is just slow. I gave him a promotion to a lead position last year and had to put another team member in his place, as he could not keep up with the production plan. He dilly dallies and spends time not in his work area but came to me for a request for a large raise. I have other guys ready to fill the void, if he leaves. I just feel he does less, doesn't give 100% at all times., works at his own pace and slows others down at times. My issue is I appreciate loyalty. I understand the employee level, always wants more even if they are doing the same. I have full benefits, bonus program and profit sharing so it's not like they do not earn a great living.
Very interesting to see how some on here view their professions.
At my work, we have to do a self evaluation. We answer 4 questions:
What do you think you're really good at and how does that show up in your work?
What are some things you’re proud of from the last year?
Which parts of your role bring you the most energy? Which parts drain you?
What would you like to focus on in the next year and how can your manager or (Company name) help you?
Have them fill out something and see where they think they are...then discuss and bring up contradicting thoughts if they aren't meeting expectations.
As for the loyalty aspect...I think your employee needs a little motivation. He might be getting complacent??? "I've been here for a long time, I got it made.."

@dbart, I like the big hole in the ciceling. mine is a typical rafters kind of deal & it looks unfinished. I could have drywalled it in, but it didnt seem like it would have been much different than what it is right now.

After we bought the house...we had that same thing. Rafters with plywood.
I had this idea of creating a loft type storage area but didn't want the stupid pull down ladder that you can't carry anything up.
So, I drew this up, 8' off the kitchen wall, 6' off the front of the garage and 4' in on either sides...that would be storage.
Use 2x6 for the initial opening then 2x4's to frame out the floor. This gives a drop lip. 3/4" plywood for the floor and tada...a nice open storage area that is easy to get everything. Added lighting underneath had the whole garage texture coated, but still we had those old cabinets from the inital pics on this thread. The idea was to do this new floor and cabinets someday.
The company that did was recommended from our realtor. When they finished, the said...this is a really good idea that we've never done before!
My neighbor 3 doors down liked it so much he ended up doing something very similar.
