  1. 1st trip to the dunes. Just married the wife 6 months before. Father in law said let's go to the dunes over new years.  He's always been camp cook. 1st morning for breakfast he breaks out the breakfast burritos. Kinda still new to the family and trying to not be that guy, my father in law has me go first to eat.  I add everything on it I want. As I'm adding the cheese I catch a small whiff of something not good. I kinda mention it to the group but my father in law says it's good. Been in the freezer. Well I put it on my burrito.  It didn't taste terrible but wasn't right. I wasn't gonna say anything and finished it quickly. My brother in law got his next and then was like Dad, this is moldy cheese. They threw it away and got out a new bag...  I still gotta watch him as he brings food from the fridge that has been in there past the expiration dates.

Oh and what's up with Chris Paul or Devin Booker not making the All star team? Are you kidding me? If they can stay healthy it will be hard for anyone to beat them 4 games. It will be Suns/ Warriors in the western finals. That one will be epic.

All star choices are all about the markets. Phoenix is notorious a smaller market. Still though. They should have made it.

You hit the nail on the head with staying healthy.  They are deeper, but still.  I hope they just didn't peak early.  I think they have best shooting % for the league.  With that being said, yes I just watch the sun's cause they are winning. The game has changed, for the worse. But you can see the skills and talent out there.

    Go suns!

  3. Been at Disneyland the last couple days.  Was good to come back.  Pretty large crowd. Waited in a couple lines for over 1.5 hrs.  I guess they started this "lightening" pass this weekend.  Similar to fast pas but u pay for it.  Was like $20 for the day. Kinda mixed feelings on it.  Used the ART transportation from hotel. Got SOAKED on splash mountain (non-pro tip- Dont put 500lbs of people in the front). Saw water over my head not once but twice.   Biggest thing about the crowds noticed was the lack of Orientals.  I usually see a lot.  Barely any.  Wonder if it's because of travel restrictions or what.  I love seeing the creative detail Disney produces.  The ride Rise of the Resistance was pretty cool. All in all it was pretty good.

  4. Sorry to hear that @Poule43.  Put our 16 year-old boxer down a couple weeks. She deteriorated fast. Could barely walk or go outside to go to the bathroom. She was so stubborn.  On the day we put her down, her crotchy body agreed to go on a walk. I looked like the worst dog owner walking a cripple dog.  She wanted to walk our entire route but I couldn't bring myself to allow her to do it. Stopped a couple hundred feet from the house and turned back. She gave me the look like wtf are u doing.  Again sorry for your loss.

  5. This is an offer for GD delivery.  I am leaving zip code 85208 before the sun comes up Saturday morning with my F250 and empty flatbed.  Hoping to arrive in zip code 92596 around mid morning, possibly load up the trailer, then back to 85208.  Have lots of room.  Not wanting to vary too far off my path but cant hurt to ask.  Expect to be back no later than Saturday evening.  I check here often, so HMU if you need something.

My daughter got me on this one and can't turn it off. Some super intense parts. Looks like 7 seasons and I am still on season one.

Plus 1 for outlander.  I think either season 5 or season 6, I had to FF through some of the jail scenes.  Talk about truly breaking a man down...

Yes, i was going too look back at your post when I got a second.  Thank you for bringing it forward.

My diet isnt way out of wack, at least i dont think so.

Bfast - 3 scoops of protein in a shaker cup full of milk and some ice

Lunch - usually leftovers from the night before.

Dinner - Wife is a really good cook.  range anywhere from like a meat sauce over rice, to Hawaiian haystacks over rice, verde chicken over rice, steak maybe 1x every 2 weeks. chicken and mashed potatoes.  usually always a salad or green vegetable

Not a lot of soda.  If we do takeout, its usually Thai food or BBQ.

I have tried to lower sodium (salting of things)

All in all, Im kinda at a loss why the cholesteral is higher than one would expect.  FOr now, I am chalking it up to genetics but still doing my thang.

I just scoured my history and can't find a trace of it I suspect it was in one of my news apps. A Google search didn't net any results but honestly I feel like Google's algorithms are on heavy right now to find real information.

It was an article about the feds, the budget, and upcoming inflation. Feds have been blaring the warning signal that they can't keep the economy propped up for much longer.

    Try this.

Tying in the entire reason for CV being released and the reasoning for this (if you believe that, or a smidge of it).  The reasoning is chaos.  Create the chaos.  We people do stupid things amidst chaos, overpaying for ish.  The CCP is waiting in the wings, with their money to buy more of the US.  And if/when we hit a recession it will be better than buying bitcoin years ago.

Matt, glad to hear you are doing better and seems to have definitely turned the corner for the better.

I have some personal questions for both of you, if you would care to share?  How was your/their health prior to COVID?  Diet?  Diabetic? Last doctor check?  BMI (though I have issues with the usage of this number)?  Working out on a daily basis prior to?  Not trying to pry, BUT asking loaded questions, as when reporting deaths or bad cases, it seems there are a lot of underlying issues that just come to the forefront with COVID.  If you dont care to share, I understand.

I have type 2 diabetes. Runs in my family. On the BMI chart (which I have issues with too) I was a 30. Exercise: not much (being truthful here) My BP and cholesterol are that of a healthy young man! Even with the type 2. My pulse is typically mid to high 60's resting. I don't drink a lot - 3-4 beers a week on avg. & 1-3 hard liquor a month.  Don't smoke, never have.

I'm sure my type 2 and being over weight added to it, I'd be a fool if I didn't.

    @matt86m

Thanks for sharing.  in your previous post you mentioned getting vaxed when you feel better.  Again, not trying to jugde, but is that what the doctors suggested?  I thought natural immnunity is better at this point.  Hope the pneumonia stays at its distance during the coming winter months!

If you are over 40 year old get vaxed,

45 here. Im in decent shape.  Weigh in around 205.  6'1".  Eat my vegetables and vitamins.  Dont smoke.  Dont drink alcohol.  Exercise regularly.  Hate seeing the doctor though.  Need to go get some blood test.  Cholesterol is hovering around 230.  Rather worry about my overall health than rely on a vaccination to cut the corner of things I can/should be doing anyways.

I got vax and my wife,  the only one in the office that did not want to get vaxxed died a couple of weeks ago and his wife,  i shared a office with him about 10 feet away, he came into the office cough up a lung and said it was allergies, now dead, my daughter got it, she is 12 so we did not get her vaxxed, she got it kissed and hugged her for about 3 days then got her tested and me or my wife did not get it,

Some side effects of the vax is getting sick

big side effects of not getting vaxed it death,

How many non vaxxed friends need to die before peeps get the message,

My infectious disease doctor and pulmonologist are adamant that if I had the vax, I wouldn't have been in the ER. ALL of their ICU patients were non-vaxed. ( I know there are vaxed people that have been in ICU and worse - dont kill the messenger) They are convinced the vaccines are safe and they recognize there are risks that are associated with them but said it would have kept me out of the ICU.

I do think that high risk people should entertain being vaxed.  To the point of mandating? definitely not.  But if your are going go down that road then start requiring restaurants to test your BMI and if it is considered obese, then no food four you.  you see my piont... Slippery slope here...
