  1. Oh, so funny story...we had just stopped again on the way back from Lake Mead/Colorado River trail, I'd say we were about half way back to camp, just stopped for a cold one and some snacks.

We start to head out and all the sudden I hear this noise! I thought it was @Poule43 running down the hill...All I heard was HEE HAW HEE HAW HEE HAW...

This HUGE (ASS) MULE was B-Linning it right for me...

I was like WTF....and stepped on the gas! Got on the Radio for Patrick behind me to tell him to watch out...As I started to leave it made an immediate turn and was gunning for Patrick!

He gets on the radio saying he's blocked in and can't go anywhere...it was on the trail! Finally he was able to get around the Creature!

    :lmao:

    Great times!

  2. So, our immediate group missed this year's Boyz Trip with our whole group in Glamis so we decided to do something after and a different spot.

My buddy Dave just got the same truck as me, gasser too, but in white and then pulls up with a brand new Momentum Toy Hauler! Man that thing is nice!

We thought it was The Valley of Fire, but turns out, we were about 60+ miles north of there off Gold Butte Road! (20 miles of the worst pot hole ridden, washed out, loosen all your fillings, rattle your trailer silly, POS road...but once you get to where we camped...totally worth it!)

    :lmao:

Scenery is awesome, and there are so many trails out here that we didn't even scratch the surface it seems.

Some destination spots, first on was Little Finland (as in Fin land...the shape of the rocks look like fins)

Then there was Devils Throat, a huge sink hole! There is a chain link fence around it, but I hopped over it to get a closer look only to hear my buddy's yelling that a plain white Ford was pulling up so I supermaned it over the fence before getting a pic up close! :laugh1: Turns out it was a family coming to check it out too.  :kenk:

This was all Saturday, and we found some awesome trails, did about 50 miles that day.

Sunday we were headed out to see if we could make it to Lake Mead. We found this trail that was so awesome, just smooth, flowing lines, could see pretty far in front, sweeping up and down roller coaster like, good 50 + mph and just AWESOME!

We come across this 2-person grave site of Bill Garrett and Art Coleman and the town that was there that they lived in... gone now, but their gravesite and Monument still there.

Then there was a sign that said Lake Mead 12 Miles! Woohoo...let's go!

16 miles later and it seems we are getting further from the lake  :kenk:

We take a break and think should we keep going, it's 3pm...Yes, we can see the lake off in the distance...it's right there, sort of close but not really!

    :lmao:

We get to this trail that is rocky, narrow and sheer cliff on the right side, GULP!

We head down praying no one is coming back up as there is absolutely no way to back out of here or turn around!

We make it down, but it turns out it's just part of the Colorado River that feeds into Lake Mead. We hang out and have a cold one.

It's now 4:30 and we think let's get back up and the only way back is the way we came!

Please don't let anyone come down as we are going up! it was 4wd Low and slow going!

WE Make it, OMG...Whew, stop and have a cold one and put our hearts back in our chests... :laugh1:

We go to take off and my car won't start...nothing. I mean NOTHING!!!! I radio to the guys, uh...yeah, I'm not going anywhere...I think my battery is shot!

I have jumper cables, the guys turn around. Dave has a quick jump and I got to connect it and Hey look at that, the Neg on my battery came loose. Finger tight it, hit the button and TaDa it starts.

Tighten it up with a pair of pliers and head back to camp!

Monday, was a trek to the Virgin River which was really cool. Next time we'll head there with Tents and coolers and camp or one night right on the river bank.

We could see tracks that went down to the river, it's about a 4' ledge down though, then tracks coming out across the river. Tim and Dave walked across, and it seemed doable but we didn't have a shovel to carve out a slope so we could get back up.

    That will be next time!

All in all great trip, did 193 miles...everything ran great!

    Fun times.

    Pics of the fun...

Now if i could just figure out how to turn my brain off and get a good nigjts sleep.  I have another sleep study coming up so I'm hopeful they will figure some things out.

Try the White or Green noise app?

As for the weight, I too struggle with it. 53 years old, 5'-11" and tip the scale between 204-208. I need to be about 175-180?

I try to walk every day, I don't drink every day, avoid soda, fast food but splurge every once in a while.

    :dunno:

Gotta get back on my mountain bike...been about 5 months since riding consistantly...

  4. If this is a Prank...that's effing stupid!

I hope it is a prank, but that is very poor taste to whoever posted it.

Now if true, What in the ACTUAL EFF????????

What is this world coming too?

  5. Holy cow what a night of racing!

Congrats to Levi Kitchen going 1-1-1! :oto:

    Now, the 450's...WOWzERS!!!

Congrats to Eli, he needed that so bad.  ET3 looked great, got good starts and just starting to look like old Eli!

Now, the Bam Bam/Jett incident...you can see Bam Bam's rear wheel completely off the ground, but still that line was HOT right into Jett!

I know they talked after and for Jett to go down 2 laps...he's probably pretty sore.

Then the whole white cross flag incident...Holy cow!

I'm just glad Eli saw it. Everyone else docked 2 positions, Anderson docked 4 positions. WOW!!!

We call that Ni**a Rich. Speaking of Rich........my buddy Rich Ross, his Dad just sold his company to Home Depot. He's the largest supplier of roofing materials in the country. Sold for a whopping $13.1 Billion. Yes, Home Depot is now in the roofing supplies business. Peace

Rich Ross is now Wealthy Ross! Or at least his dad is...

People bring all kind of stuff to the roundup,

They ask that on the large group rides that the SXS stay at the back with the kids, or stay in camp

but at the end of the day, it is fun for everything,

Dumont has the most to offer,

Really no Leo,  but the Leo that do come out are super cool will hang out in camp talking about the dunes,  you will only see them on Halloween, Prez, and Thanksgiving,

Yeah, Dumont is a favorite of our group. Great dunes, trails, river crossing, hot springs, Tacopa (if you can get there still??)

So go empty them out when nobody is looking.  Eventually they will get tired of filling them up.  If you get caught, claim those items triggered you.

Or flush them down the toilet...I hear it's good for the sewer system...
