  1. Had my identity stolen in 2018.  Fraud all over SoCA, Walmart, grocery stores, $1300 at a gas station (tell me the gas station wasn't in on it), even checks written to the US Post office to buy thousands of dollars in stamps.  Why stamps?  The price only goes up and they can be sold later on.  Effing nightmare and took over a year to stop it as B of A was completely useless and could care less about me, my family, or my business.  I have since put some safety alerts in place but who knows if they'll work.  Thieves are really good at what they do.

  2. I heard a commercial on JACK FM this morning AGAINST the recall.  Some woman's voice, stated that Trump supporters and Trump $$ are behind the recall effort as well as 'big oil' and some others, and it's something CA cannot afford.  Thought we had a huge budget surplus for 2020?  Like billions?  She also said the people responsible for the Jan 6th "insurrection" are responsible for the recall effort.  By this point I was screaming at my radio.

I'm surprised Newsom reinstated the mask BS.  Figured by now he'd want to get as many people on his side as possible but this would seem to have the opposite effect.

Allow me to clarify. Of course being recalled will change Newsom's political career. I meant that it will not do much to change things in California. Any new Governor, even if he's the most conservative dude ever, will only have 10 months in office. He'll have Democratic super majorities in both state houses, California courts packed with liberal douche bags, and a California electorate that has twice as many registered Dems as Republicans and that voted for Biden over Trump by 5 million votes. They will over ride  any veto he does. They will do an instant 180 on the  "emergency covid powers" that they were happy to give to Gavin and decide that only the legislature can decide things like mask mandates and school closures. Meanwhile, all the usual suspects (media, unions, etc..) will start a media blitz painting the new Governor as Hitler, an idiot, a pedophile, etc.. Then 10 months later, California will elect a new Democrat scumbag who probably be worse than Newsom- just without the nice hair.

Very good points.  Newsom is done in politics because of the recall.  Hard to face that, even if he does survive, and continue to move up the political ladder.  Newsom is the sacrificial lamb that may keep California blue because of exactly what you stated- Elder wins- legislature reverses all the emergency Covid stuff which will make them more appealing to voters in 2022.  Then they'll smear Elder and block anything he tries to do to make the state better.

  4. I built my outdoor patio in 2008 and have upgraded it several times.  I planned to do a built in BBQ and sink but i never finish a project so I ended up buying a nice Jenn-Air BBQ and eventually a Traeger.  I spend as much time on my patio as I can.  Second favorite place, Glamis being first.

The peeler logs and most of the wood were recycled from the TV shows Monster Garage and Monster House when I did some side work for the production company.

Hard to believe my son is now 18 years old, graduated high school, and driving for me pretty much full time.

This was the dry-well I built for the sink drain.  It's about 2/3 of an empty plastic 55 gallon drum with holes drilled in the bottom and sides and rocks placed inside.  It's still there but never been used because I never added a sink.

Yes, my LED lights are falling down, again.  Took this picture last weekend.  Looks small but it's 16' X 16' and the hotub takes up a good portion.  I have a small fire pit on legs I put in the center during the colder months.

I was not happy with my old Traeger Jr because it didn't hold temp for sh!t.  Took a chance and got a new Traeger Silverton 620 Costco edition and it works great so far.

Really happy with the Jenn-Air BBQ and it's natural gas so no propane tanks.  Parts are still available and I've installed new burners and deflectors once but it's ready for another set soon.  We use it a few times a week.  Just to the left you can see the dry-well ABS line and a fresh water line for the sink the never happened.

Ca has had a mail in absentee voting for decades I have been voting absentee for as long as I can remember I think I only waited in line once and said f this

I'd wait in line for hours to know that my vote was being counted correctly.  My time is valuable to me, and so is my vote.

I am planning on making an "FAQ" (Frequently Asked Questions) card to hand out which will answer about 95% of the questions that will be asked:

1: No, It's not in stock. See #2:

    2. No, I don't know when it will be back in stock.

I can't say that I am looking forward to this years show. At least when you guys yell at me over the phone I can take my headset off and work on other things until I hear the buzzing stop in the ear pieces. I can't do that in person.

How about if I hug you and whisper my complaints into your ear?

Looking for a drum in good condition. Stainless would be great but doesn't have to be. Need to carry 91 for toys in Glamis. Have a pump already.

    i'm in SoCal, OC

I have a drum for you from the race team. Had F&L race gas in it. I'll hit you up when I go to PCI in the next couple weeks.

  8. I've had a baby train horn on my Dmax for 10 years. Plumbed it into my air bag system and on board compressor. Used a momentary toggle switch next to thebair bag controller.

A month ago a client asked me to install a Hornblasters kit on his old Dodge truck. He bought the spare tire delete kit Conductor Special with 4 horns and it was about $1600. Pretty nice kit, dual air tanks, compressor and all accessories mount to a bracket. That bracket has a spot for the spare tire carrier cable to hold it in place and you crank it in just like the spare. Kinda cool. It is obnoxiously loud.

My son has a Dmax and we upgraded his old onboard air system to a larger Viair compressor and 2.5 gal tank. He got a Hornblasters triple horn kit for $200 and we installed it a few weeks ago and I put a button on the dash just below the steering wheel. It is also obnoxiously loud.

I just bought a new to me 2014 Dmax and I don't have on board air. I miss having a train horn.

  9. Looking forward to this year's show, seeing old friends and vendors. Got lucky and reserved one of the last spots available at Newport Dunes RV Park for Saturday night. Plan to be at the show Sat and Sun. Hopefully I'll get hooked up with a vendor pass again this year if I transport vehicles to the show... I'm looking at you @Grant@Funco...

It's been 1.5 years and I've been in a different house everyday of the week and at the lumber yards picking through material like every other sweaty, dirty bastard there, that is working at other peoples houses everyday.. I'm nearing 50, smoke, put on some weight and I'm still kicking. I been under the weather a few times, lost my taste for 24 hours, but not feeling the need to get vac. My age and choices would have people say get vaccinated.

The science is out there. Less than 2% chance of dying. I think this is more of a personal choice.

P.S. I think it's very telling that you can't get an antibody test easily to see if you've had it. My doctor told me the only place he knows of is to go donate blood because they check.. If you knew you had already had it, would you get a shot? And who here believes that a shot is going to give you a more natural immunity than mother nature will provide us?   "Science" absolutely loses me when they tell me I should still get the shot if I've already had it..

I had a runny nose and cough in early January 2021 for a couple of days, turned into a sneeze the 3rd day.  Work said don't come in.  On the fourth day I had zero symptoms but felt I should get tested regardless.  I tested positive twice the same week (tested 2 days apart by different places) even without symptoms.  Work said I could come back 9 days after showing no symptoms (no idea where the '9 day' thing came from, but I work in a hospital so go figure).  Work also told me DO NOT get tested again.  Okay.  We were one of the first places to have the vaccine and it was offered to all of us as 'first responders'.  I declined and continue to ignore the daily work emails saying I can just walk in and get the shot whenever I want to.  Already had it so why do I need to vaccine?

Then the Los Angeles Dept. of Health started calling my cell phone, which I ignored, but they'd leave voice mails.  After a week of them calling every day I finally answered and spoke to a nice lady.  She asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment for the vaccine, to which I said I've already declined, numerus times via email.  She said they don't email anyone, just phone calls. I said I meant my work emails and she said oh, where do you work, to which I replied I work for you at County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services, County USC. Plug my last name into your Outlook and see if it pops up.  She did and there I was on her screen.  I politely asked her to stop calling me and haven't heard from them since that day.  Dummies.

To answer your question- Yes, I had Covid and see no need for me to get the vaccine.

They did mention that they are making the inside of RR estates smooth and like a pad.

The last few seasons the inside of Roadrunner has been getting worse and worse. I've been stuck in it twice and had to get pulled out. After they repaved 2 seasons ago it looked like they pushed the extra sand into the middle and made it even worse. Saw so many people getting stuck. Glad it being fixed.

That is about 55' long.  I plan to have full hookups there... and if you happen to have a trailer with you we'll open the gate and that'll work too. 😉

Whoever is hosting had better be careful. I've heard that some of that particular crew will show up for a weekend camping trip in October and then not leave until April. 🤣🤣

    Happy 4th!!

Already told him I'm leaving my RV here till Oct. Then I'll pick it up and move it to Roardrunner.
