Problem with that is it loses an assload of torque, and only gains power above 6500rpm.

True, but in this case...  how much HP does his wife need?  Maybe she needs it all.....  but if he's looking at a V6 as a choice...  I'm guessing form over function wins this time.

  2. I somewhat agree with @Cookie on this.  Maybe it's because a lot of them are kind of ugly.  When they leave the stock LS1 intake on it and all of the ugly crap that comes with it or try hide it all under  an ill fitting piece of plastic....  just looks like it was half ass'd.

Now if you do a good job with the harness, move the coils down out of view and use an intake like this....  sexy as hell!!!!

  3. I hate the sound of the new V6s.  As @Rockwood said the last 2 in that video are the best sounding but I would still hate it.  If I had to have the V6 I  would MUCH rather make it so quite I could not hear it, even at the sacrifice of HP.

I wonder what getting rid of the cats, putting long tube headers on it would do for it..

But....  the beauty of hot rods....  they don't have to pelase everyone just the owner.

Never really thought about the heat. But I turn mine on and off with each use. If I get the adjustable ride height set up I'll figure out something for a heat shield.

    Meh.....  free seat heater.... LOL

@Fullthrottle guy (Alex) & @Parker@GearOne was nominated by @Poule43: for the overwhelming hospitality they gave everyone at the Race Ready open House.

congratulations to Alex & Parker for all they did @ the open house at Race Ready.

I would also like to say a thanks to each of them for all that they do for the us here @ Glamis Dunes and for the off road community in general.  Im sure there were a bunch of other folks behinds the scenes that put together the open house, those kinds of events dont just happen without a bunch of help.

  6. My wife and I went to an open house at solar turbins (my eldest works there).  They had some cool cars there.

The big yellow  thing that looks like a bus/squareback/bug is a sweedish  car, and apparently, only 6 were ever brought into the US.

The pipe on the moped looked super strange.  I've never seen one like that. I wonder what the purpose of it is?  I can guess more power, but how.....

The old Honda quad was cool as hell.

  7. I saw this wagon again today.  I can't tell if it's electric or not.  It was very quiet,  I expected some exhaust noise and could not tell if what I was hearing was the car in front of it.
