  1. From what I've read in the past, mosquitoes are attracted by the CO2 in your breath when you exhale. They make mosquito traps that burn propane and attract the mosquitoes with CO2 and then zaps them when they arrive. I've also used Avon Skin so Soft and it worked as well or better than actual bug sprays to keep them off of you. Good luck!

  2. As everyone besides MWB said, buy a 5th wheel. You can leave the hitch on the kingpin and lift it out of the bed with the trailer, or buy a steel Andersen hitch and lift it out with one hand whenever you want. The hitch in the bed is absolutely no reason to buy a bumper pull, it can easily be removed.

I would never hurt anyone. Not intentionally. Well...

I might hurt a Libtard's feelings, but they're overly sensitive and don't qualify as real people.

The real danger is if Rockwood repeats his assertion that he knows more about suspension geometry/design than RG, I might actually die from :lmao:

That I will be there?  Well duh it is the Sand Show.

I want to see the Church of RG.  You think there will be any old people sitting in the sun I can talk to?  LMAO!!!!

No, there won't be any old people sitting in the sun. All of the ticket holders are getting VIP picture ID cards which let them go into the covered VIP area for free food and beer.

You can sit out in the hot sun if you want to, everyone will understand.

  5. I was driving on my way to work when the first plane hit the tower. When I got to work, nobody was working, they were all watching it on TV in the conference room and someone filled me in. I was watching on TV when the 2nd plane hit.

All of the techs and supervisors were former sub electronic techs, the support personnel were civilians. We were all discussing an immediate nuke attack on whichever country sponsored the attack, but one guy wasn't in favor of frying hundreds of thousands innocent civilians. The rest of us pointed out that they attacked civilians, so we didn't care what the rest of the world thought if we also targeted civilians. Emotions were running high at the time.

Now, I feel the CIA should have tracked down every terrorist involved and all of their friends and relatives. Then every yr on this date, wipe out another 10 or 20 of them and deny any culpability. That's how the Mossad would do it and I really like how they handle enemies of their state.

Most people in this country have already forgotten about Hunter Biden's laptop, much less the horrific attack from 21 yrs ago. Never Forget!

  6. Just imagine what she was actually referring to back in 1957. Then imagine that she was teleported to this yr and then back to 1957.

Imagine her horror at watching Jerry Springer, Dr Phil, Maury Povich doing endless DNA tests for women trying to figure out which of the 37 guys is the real father, the "cash me outside" girl worth $12M, the Kardashians, all of the "Real Housewives of" TV shows, (hell, all of the reality TV shows), the gov't Covid response, the weaponization of the DOJ against Trump, all of the liberal propaganda outlets, and the entire rap subculture. Epstein and her son Andrew. The FBI telling Zuckerberg not to let FB spread any info about Hunter's laptop. The sheer level of corruption that is rampant in DC right now.

She'd probably give a different speech, after her mind stopped reeling. I'm guessing she'd tell the entire nation to commit suicide, because she's truly seen the future and the entire world is EFFED.

There is a possible answer. LOTD could even confirm or deny because most guys on this site know which way is North at any given time.

Any chance she showed up early and sat in the shaded spot? Maybe the sun moved and started roasting her. Old lady was like eff it...i aints movin.

No, I was sitting in my air conditioned car for a couple of minutes when she got out of her car next to me and set up her chair in the sun. When I saw her do that, I wondered if the restaurant wasn't open yet, but it was open and she didn't seem to mind the heat. She sat in the sun because she wanted to, which is her choice, of course.

Sounds kinda like when someone chooses another person in public and tries to pick a fight with them. They choose that particular person because they look like an easy target for them to bully. But the bully is disappointed because the easy target they chose to bully will not buy into their self righteous BS and no fight or argument takes place. The bully is now even angrier than they were before and gets online to try to find a fight there which is really easy to do but it's just not the same and he cannot get the same satisfaction from it that comes from belittling someone in public. But on the positive side you can't get your ass kicked through the internet, so there's that.

    You're an excellent example.

    That we do.

You make fun of the "libtards" that are quick to judge and yet you did the same thing with this old lady based on her sitting in the sun and not engaging in your conversation.  The irony of complaining about what one does and yet you do it too!  LMAO!!!!

See that's the part you misunderstand. I don't make fun of libtards for judging people. Every time I've made fun of them, it was because they are irrational, illogical and emotional. Also, what you call "judging" is what I call being observant.

Like when you see a broken X3 near a small drop off. One could make the observation that the driver ran out of talent, but the fact is, it didn't break because it was overbuilt or driven carefully, however judgmental that might seem to you.

When you go to a doctor with a fever and he tells you that you probably have some sort of infection, or the remote possibility of an ailment that causes your body not to properly control your temperature. Is he being judgmental, or observant?

She probably looked at you and said "I bet he is one of those guys that put a deposit on a Speed UTV 3 years ago and still does not have a car".  She gathered that because you did not stand in the sun with her.  LMAO!!!  She too could make ridiculous presumptions about a person in a matter of a minute.

When she commented "we live in challenging times" why continue to press with more remarks?   Clearly you were waiting for some type of argument to develop and trolling.  She was not going to be baited. Hence her response.

    We often meet challenged people.

Well, like @Surf and Dune stated she was just sitting there minding her own business. I think it's cool that you were concerned about her sitting in the hot sun!

Probably could have just left it at that, but getting political with strangers is a dicey game. chit even with friends I try to avoid it unless I know we're on the same page and then we can joke about the Biden voters.

    :lmao:

I have a couple friends that Voted for Biden and I seriously want to ask them how they feel about their decision...but it will get ugly and they won't admit they Effed up.

From their point of view I effed up voting for Trump.

    It's a no win situation...

Anyways...I just thought it was a little weird, but had I been there, I probably would have laughed, then think...Oh boy, here we go!!!! :laugh1:

Everyone I know is a conservative and from the conversations at the VFW, most of them are as well, so I was a little surprised that she didn't see the humor/irony in my comment. I have one liberal friend who is very open minded and was willing to read info I showed him on Google. He did modify his alarmism about global warming and did a complete 180* on gun control because he had to agree with the logic, but he's a unicorn when it comes to being an open minded liberal who listens and understands.

I do see your point, unless I already know the political beliefs of the listener, that particular joke could lead to a meltdown like we saw in the streets after Trump got elected, or an interesting, enlightening conversation. I try very hard to see all sides of a topic and endorse the logical, least expensive, smallest gov't solution to every problem. Hell who am I kidding? I've never seen a liberal carry on an interesting, enlightening conversation!

to date, I've never met a liberal who could rationally, logically state their position and show any advantage to the larger population. All of their programs are aimed at minorities to make them feel more included, empowered, or enriched - but it's always at the expense of the taxpayers.

For example, there is a grant for blacks living in San Diego to buy their first home who make less than 120% of the median income. It gives them $40,000 toward their home purchase, tax free, with no repayment. Even if you were a first time home buyer, you don't qualify because you're white. How is that not racist? If there was a program to help white people buy their first home, it would take less than one second for them to cry "racist" and shut the program down. If I said this was a liberal program, would I be incorrect?

Now the above is an example of how I discuss topics like that, without getting ugly. The other person might get upset and ugly, but I have no control over other people's behavior. I would hope that everyone could have a civil, well informed discussion of current events and issues that concern all of us. You're right, a lot of people can't do that and the conversation devolves into emotional ranting.

That grant program is actually in effect, BTW.

Initially you were being nice, asking about her sitting in the hot sun.

Then you turned it into an opportunity to passive/aggressively state your political views.

Her responses were short, polite and not political. I'm only going by what you posted here.

Even after the entire interaction, your guessing her political views are an assumption. Unless there are some facts you didn't post?

    :moof:

That's your interpretation. Was there anything about gas prices, the gov't wanting us to buy EVs or the current request not to charge EVs in the evening that was not factual? I was making a joke (which are sometimes based on a kernel of truth) and which 99% of people would nod and agree was true.

My interpretation was she could not argue those facts, so instead she used a reply that answered nothing. You've seen the meme about Biden being senile and his supporters being stupid. I happen to think it's true, based on what we see going on in this country right now. Everyone could see his mind was gone long before they stole the election.

You have lunch with Biden supporters, now I have seen everything :classic_blink:

The ladies who invited me are conservatives. The lady sitting in the sun is apparently a new member of the VFW that I'd never met before. I believe she's the only Biden supporter of the bunch. They all gripe about gas prices and the inflation rate, cost of prescriptions and how worthless all of their relatives are, but they don't get into any in depth political discussions. Come to think of it, they don't get into anything in depth.

Interesting that you assumed the whole group was Biden supporters.
