If your going to be participating in the group photo and want to be parked with your group for the photo please do not go down to the staging area without your group. I would ask that you all leave the registration area as a group, head to the top of the ridge and you will be sent down together. Follow the flagger instructions. we will be at the top and bottom of the site.

This chassis was well used, its #02 and some one got a lot of dune time and forgot to tighten the suspension bolts regularly. There was a lot of wear and you can see signs of repair to the pivots. So we decide to cut them all off and put brand new Funco pivots back. We added a tube here and there for some added strength. The car is getting a rolled roof like the Gen 6, new one piece skid plate, inside floors front & rear, Rancho went through the 2D, Outfront is doing an inspection and some basic maintenance on the C&G Subi, brand new Gray Area front and rear hubs, all new tires, Jason at Next Level is doing the sheet metal - 3D roof, noise cover, full dash, inside…

My good friend Justin had introduced me Erik (very stand up guy)who sold me the Funco that was all original minus the LS3 swap. After my very season I decided to take it a part and do a makeover. This is what it looked like when I took possession.

I was given a pair of 16.50x15 dunesports. I noticed they are a taller tire than my 14.50's. Is there any reason I wouldn't want to use them on a subi/2d car? Will they cause too much traction? Pros/cons?

Well I thought I would take the season off from having a funco but the kool aid was just to good so I started another gen 4 conversion, but with all the hype that a subi gen 4 would be a faster dunner then any LS funco I have had I figured why not giving it a try this time around hoping to have it finished by mlk weekend

I bought a funco gen 3 about 8 years ago and have been changing a few things on it. The biggest change in the handling of the car was adding ping tanks, something had to be done about the rear end hopping, kind of spooked me a bit. They are 1/2 gallon capacity. Initially I had 3/8" lines between the rear bags and the tanks. It took some of the rear end hop out, changing to 1/2" air lines and backing out the bottom compression bypass added slow body roll but helped in the medium whoops. The ping tanks have a similar effect of adding a larger air bag. I run 42 psi in the rear at ride height, that increases dramatically during compression. When the air bag rebounds the 2.5 b…

Veterans day is quickly approaching, scheduled for new powder coat on monday and I’m in the later stages of updating the look of my gen 3. I discovered excessive play in the trailing arm uniballs. The problem I’m having is finding a replacement for them. Pretty much all the number 12 uniballs I find have the outside diameter at 1.4375. Too small for the machined cups in my trailing arms. I’m seeing 1.497 with my calipers, I did zero it prior to measuring. Any body have any info on a replacement???

Wanting to fix 2 issues with my 2006 Gen4 so looking for ideas and pics please. 1. How to fix the steering wobble, perhaps fabricating longer tube off existing column. 2. What is used to secure the gas pedal line on metal plate (not zip ties as I have shown).

Agains most sane peoples advice I decided to tackle this project. The game plan is to swap the Suspension from Gen 3 geometry to Gen 4. Install S4 & Alper 416. Picked up round one parts: New king 3.0 shocks New billet upper A-arms New tube lower A-arms New spindles New Funco front hubs New Funco steering rack New Funco suspension pivots New rear air bags & mounts New Funco door kit Used set or 934 rear arms

Spindles are King Kong and the front end is a stock Gen. 4. Has anyone had any issues running that size tire on a Funco?

Seeking solution: Wanting to haul enough gas for Funco Gen4 LS on 16-18 ft. open aluminum trailer for a 3-4 day weekend. Would fill 25+gal Funco tank and avg. 8gal per ride 8 rides. Seeking solution like 50gal fuel cell on open trailer vs. eight 5 gallon cans which wont fit anyway. Problem is my Mercedes Sprinter RV can only handle 5000 lbs load with Funco (2700 lbs wet) so pushing tongue weight (500 capacity). And, also heard fuel cell on open trailer is not DOT legal. Thoughts please!?

Curious if anyone has driven a Funco with coilovers instead of airbags and can give a comparison between the two.

So I smoked my rear paddle last weekend and need to buy a new set. I think I currently have the 14.50 X 15 Dunesport with the #1 cut( might have been a #2 originally but tires were pretty worn when I bought the car.) I really like the way the tire works now but just curious if the #2 cut might be better now for the power I am making now. (600 HP Subaru)

I recently purchased this sand rail from Arizona. It had Arizona title and VIN. It is listed as a 2013 and has Subaru WRX power. Can anybody tell me who was the original manufacturer and builder? I can provide a serial number if needed. Thanks Dennis

The a arm bushings on my gen2 are pretty hammered, and I’m sure the bag perch bushings are too. As you all know they are not common size. @Grant@Funco are you guys able to make a set, or do you happen to have the specs tucked away somewhere? If not, Is there anyone near San Diego that would be able to make me a new set out of Delrin or polyurethane? TIA
